From a getting a girl friend standpoint it didn't go that well.  I wouldn't exactly say that I  chickened out.  I would say that I talked my self out of asking her then chickened out.  However on the plus side if I can actually think about asking a girl out now, next time I might actually be able to say something about it.  

*Sigh* I guess theres always next year.  Or I could just ask her to do something with her friends.  They look like they do a lot of stuff.  

I could ramble all day long about me being shy, but I'm going to cut it off there as I should be studying for finals right now.

The best way to a girls heart is to talk with her. I say with because I mean don't tell her about yourself unless she asks. Ask her about herself and be genuinly interested in the answers. Don't forget them and maybe even ask follow up questions at a later date to show you actually cared about the conversation.

If you have to...become something you're not. I went vegan for 5 months to impress a girl. I didn't just say it, or only act it when around her. You've got to actually follow through with it.

DON'T LIE! Unless you just want a 1 night stand (shame on you!). It's alot easier to just tell the truth so you don't have to remember the details. (The vegan thing was not a lie, I became a vegan 1 minute before I mentioned it and stuck with it.)

I'll agree with that and elaborate: Don't change yourself too much in order to fit into your object of desire's ideals. Some day you might not be able to keep up the charade, and then it all comes chrashing down. If you can't get 'em "legitimately", maybe you're both better off without.
