I have 2 suggestions to make, or rather one wrapped up into 2 parts.
The first is the CPU. As you've just found out from Zero7 and me in IRC, first-gen Prescott CPUs- that is, the ones still labeled with their speed rather than the new intel model number- suck. They overheat and are inferior in many ways to their older and newer counterparts.
Therefore, you should switch out the CPU. I'd recommend the Pentium 4 630 (
here) for $245 or if that's too much then the 530J (
here) for a more reasonable $184.
Since that's a different pin package, you'd need to switch motherboards.
This one is functionally equal to the one you currently have selected.
That's all. Everything else is ok.
