Build in volume control on a remote on the cord.  Need to turn off the sound without taking off the headphones?  Just turn the easy to use dial and the headphones will go silent allowing for your non-headphone plesure!

Such a long cord. Far too long. I wish it were shorter. My experience with the volume control is that it's only useful for muting the headphones, not for regulating the volume. It may be a malfunction in mine, but they severely affect the high tones when I turn down the volume.

I`ve got the Plantronics Audio 40 model I think and they are very good headphones, makes killing skulks so much easier. The long cord comes in handy, when you need to chuck your cat out of the room   No padding on mine though.
