And when we die and die we shall to saint peter we shall tell, just another soldier reporting sir, I've served my time in hell.

Knght's Edge

Another good place for weapons and weapon replicas. I've always been a fan of medieval-age weapons and gear, although there never seems to be the kind of sword I would really like to get, like this one:

Unfortunately, the closest I've seen anyone get to this is a large claymore or flamberge. And just in case anyone is wondering, that is Kamahl, a barbarian from Odyssey, a novel from the Magic: The Gathering series.

pretty sweet site. I've always been a fan of axes more than swords though. Some really nice swords like this one, but I have yet to see a really nice axe. I want a really nice kit-rae style of double bladed axe that's all ornamented, but all I see are dull looking ones. This one is cool and I love the design but it's a shame the blades aren't ornamented and uber.  :(
This is going to be some kind of reunion, isn't it?

i was more interested in the crossbows

that 150 pound one god dam i could stake a man to a wall from 300 yards off with that thing

and that mini crossbow, 20$ i would buy 2 and go john woo on some alley cats  >:D

that axe with the dragons was purdy

Simple. That thing would be way too heavy to lift, let alone swing right.

Well, since I don't see an army of anything armed with swords and crossbows and sheilds with armor, I don't think I'd have to worry about actually having to swing the thing around. Pretty much everything on those sites is just for looks, like to add to a collection or make a hallway in your house look cooler. Granted there are enthusiasts who practice older forms of fighting and have gladiator competitions, but those are the really deep-into it enthusiasts, and I doubt they'd go to any of these sites for something they'll actually be hitting with.

Certainly not, I myself have several assortments of katanas and short swords. All are for decorative purposes and are not that sturdy. I have done full contact sparing with a couple of them, but they fall apart at the hilt (full-tang are the best, they last longer).  Many of the tsubas become loose and start twisting/falling off as well as large chips and dents are put into the blades. Two of my katanas have soooo many chips in the blade that they're practically saws now <_<

I once looked at decorative swords, saw the price tag, and never looked back. Unless it was incredibly fancy schmancy, there is no way I'd pay over $75 for what is no more then a stupid piece of steel that is so technologically complex, it was capable of being manufactured 600 years ago. En masse. Really, you think in ye dayse of olde they paid that fricken' much for one sword? Ahaha no.

Actually that Kult of Athena is a lot cheaper then what I've ever seen... but some of the stuff is still pretty pricey. The other site, however, is an example of the classic price gouge... even their puny little knives are more then a full sword on KoA...

My apologies Grimm, let me clarify: Usually, decorative swords are replicas of real swords. The sword you want, on the other hand, is not, since nobody has ever used a sword like that. Hence your trouble finding one for sale.
