He got banned a few weeks ago. I doubt anyone wants to get into it again but if I understood correctly from what I bothered to read it was because he was arguing with the admins over rules they said he broke and he thought he didn't or somesuch. I didn't bother to pay much attention to the whole thing :p

The short version:

He broke and / or bent every single rule barring the hacking one, when he finally was confronted by the admins for this he decided to bitch, whine, argue and insult the admins. I believe his banning wasn't for one offence, but more a whole stack that eventually broke the admincamel's back including, not exclusive to: flaming, spawncamping, blocking OC's with structures, voice spam, hogging the command chair and lying to the admins.

To be honest, the guy was a wanker.

Also, ignore most of the thread that Jefe posted, the only thing worth reading is Uranub's reply which is goddamn hillarious, pretty much everything Saltz says is bull^^.

I was rather fond of him too, but then, I never had to bear the brunt of his vitriol. I still catch him on a pug every once in a while. Regardless of personal feelings, though, admin majority rules in situations like this, and I was hired on to defend the rules and not to enforce my feelings on the situation.

I miss saltz, his comming drew me to LM and me and him became friends, he never once bitched at me, maybe because i followed orders and tried to do what he asked when he asked.

I addressed this point in the post: All he did was flame everyone else.

Uranium is right; When I still played a lot, I was one of the people that would leave when Saltzbad was commander. I can handle being called names for various reasons, I've got a pretty thick hide, but to be called various strings of expletives and obscenities just because a skulk killed me is extremely unnecessary and only causes tension and greif.

SaltzBad was probably the best commadner i've been marine under, he and MrBen.
Sure he could probably be an asshat towards some people, but never me.

I miss being a marine under SaltzBad.

ok, just going to do a pre-emptive lock, you guys have done admirably at not flaming. but this thread can go no where good. it's been explained why saltz is not around.
