General / Recent Reserved Slot removals
« on: May 08, 2005, 03:02:59 AM »
esuna and sonic are assholes and shout profanity, i don't think anyone can deny this. But they are also good guys aswell and are fun to play with and talk to. Vinne is also an asshole, holy devil is an asshole, i'm an asshole etc etc. Obviously we accept assholes. I think we can all agree there are times where esuna gets worked up, and vinne as well. Admins breaking rules is somthing you need to tell LB not another admin. Instead of bringing it up "blah blah" breaks the rules too! you should contact LB with proof. Every admin is replacable, every slotter is replacable. If you want to keep your admin rights or your slot then follow the rules. Its ok to make mistakes and break the rules somtimes. It happens we are all humans.

Esuna, if vinne is starting crap with you then you need to contact LB. If you retaliate then he will have a REASON to ban you. I'm not saying either of you start crap with the other but there is obviously bad blood between the two of you. LM is a pretty large server, and therefore the admins need to act the same to everyone. We know sonic/esuna shout profanity alot but that doesn't make them immune to punishment. And having to tell someone to stop doing somthing over and over and over obviously means they arn't learning. I haven't played NS in forever but I know when I did if someone broke a rule they were warned, if it continued they were kicked, and then banned. I have seen a few admins ban when they should have warned, and I have seen a few admins warn when they should have banned. Every admin is different so therefore different action is taken.

And stuff in the admin forum does not have to be made public. Its for them to know and only them. When you get arrested you don't see your criminal record. They are admins becuase the take responsiblity for keeping the server ran smoothly. They do extra things that arn't fun for the sake of keeping the community a good place. When you recieve a RS your not only getting a slot, you also get the responsibility to follow the rules and show everyone else how the server should be. If someone breaks a rule then you should inform them they are doing so.

Admin signal? people misuse it? well don't have the highlight...Before there was the admin signal i just asked if any admin was around and usally got a reply quickly. If there wasn't i would return to the game and try to instruct the offender on our rules. Worse come to worse I would PM a few admins and almost always got a response that way.

I think its silly to be fighting between members and admins. We all should follow the rules.

General / What would you want to see in Source version?
« on: May 07, 2005, 10:09:21 PM »
port everything over...then change stuff. Just putting it on the source engine would give it a small boost while then they can make new features and functions.

no monthly fee so even if your subscribed to WoW if you still get it, you can play it when you don't feel like playing WoW. I myself probably won't get it, it seemed really clunky to me when i played the awsome 3 day betas....

well you need to decide which type of shading suits you first, I sugest trying soft shading and cel shading, and decide what you like doing the most then start messing with it.

1. the classic anime "cel-shading" where the light differences are made using solid color, skin tone doesn't very much. Its easier to do out of the 3 styles, but there is alot of room to mess up.

2. "soft-shading" This where more realism comes into the colors. The skin tone is very distinguished this way, and your light source is VERY important to keep and have flow throughout the image. This is my personal favorite way to do it, but it takes ALOT of time to do next to cel shading.

3. "Comic style shading" its kind of a mix of soft shading and cel shading, i personaly like the style alot and hope to beable to do it sometime.

The first two are made by the artist preciousflame which you can find her gallery on deviantart, the last one I don't remember but he has alot of steet fighter pieces. you can see his work in the street fighter comic.

General / Current MvA Win/Loss stats
« on: April 05, 2005, 05:51:35 AM »
even if the stats arn't EXACT it still shows a very low marine win percent. Obviously somthing need to be done to boost the marines or nerf the aliens, everyone hopes for a 50/50 but thats not plausable. so if marine wins>alien wins on specfic maps and aliens>marine wins on specfic maps in a small percent, then its about as balanced as you can get it.

they don't have an offical website yet so i will link you to the gamespot site!

First Age of Empires game without the original team... a few of the original team went on to make Empire Earth 2 and Rise of Kingdoms. So we will have to see later on how it folds out. But I was and still am a HUGE fan of Age of Empires 2. I played Age of Empires while others played Starcraft :p

my sister has a tongue ring for about 5 years now. she had it get infected and swollen a few times but nothing major. the most important thing is to use listerine or whatever after each meal/drink. yes its annoying but you will thank yourself when you don't get an infection.

you always need to get the plate number. thats the most important thing, then take a picture of the damage, either with a cell phone or keep a disposable camera with your regestration in the glove box.

it has a learning curve..but once you figure it out its pretty fun. you could be the best ever but you can't win against 4 people shooting you at the same time =p so plan your attacks carefuly and don't let damaged ships lore you into groups of other ships.

it takes awhile to get the bigger ships, I just now got the first British ship. H.M.S.Harlequin Orion Class Destroyer but i didn't have enough money for the good guns so i'm using crappy ones lol. I would suggest waiting till you have atleast 30k in the bank before selling your ship and getting your first nation one (this is at level 12 btw) and also read the forums they have alot of good info.

its a naval mmo. it has 2d graphics, reminds me of commandos. So far its really fun, as your crew levels up you get access to more stuff, like different class ships, and different weapons. when you hit level 12 you can pick a nation, (it takes place during WW2) and get access to some of history's greatest ships (even the yamato :o) so far ii'm level 10 and have a pretty nice destroyer. Here are some screenshots below that are from the website.

I play under Leaderz0rz commanding the Harlequin. I'm still fighting in the beginner area, and apprently you have to train a crew member to be a radio operator to get access to private messaging and buddy list. if you ever want to play just highlight me on irc, if i don't answer i'm not there =p

i've never ever ever had a problem with steam, so compared to WoN i think its a step in the right direction for games. Ingame server browsers and mod selection is annoying imo. expecialy if you just want to see if the server is full or want to see who is playing. and i think steam is the first program to auctaly let you copy and paste things in the console =p
