Off Topic / The Inevitable Post Your Picture Thread

"Hi, I'm 2 of 8 and I like to submit pictures where I completely photoshop it so you can't see crap."

You remind me of that dude who got completely covered up so all you could see was his nose.

Yep, still looking rather effeminate, I think.

Edit: NEW PICTAR!

I believe that's called spam, choosing to ignore a thread which was created AND stickied SPECIFICALLY for this.

Male needs to come back to IRC so we can play games again. :(

Also, BYE YOU-LA-TOE!

Here's to those fun times. Hope you'll drop in sometime in the future on IRC to say hi.

Have a good one.

Word, I'll try to concentrate some more on actually getting the heroes and hero abilities in (although some I'm not too good at) then, again, distribute it for others to work on it. I need to set a hard deadline for myself, so maybe mid-november (this may change, as I have a couple major yearbook deadlines in november).

Nien, not Zazified.

It'd be Zazified if I didn't have WC3's World Editor open every other day.

Heh, there's a whole group of people who do this, and I believe it's now one of the "up-and-coming" extreme sports. It's called Parkour, and one of the most famous groups is Yamakasi, most of the people who do these videos are from London or Paris (IIRC, most, not all). And, well, that's where the "elite" groups are.

Uhmm... there's this black guy who does it, he's done a bunch of commercials.

Anyways, yeah. It's cool stuff, hard as hell, and it's VERY easy to get hurt (obviously). Kudos on finding this vid (been a while since I've seen a new yamakazi video)

Edit: Fixed my mistakes =P <3 Manta

I still need to go out and get WoP. I remember our pirating days, and I remember taking down a merchant vessel with the shatter cannonballs that killed their crew...

In my barque. Good times yo.

He was never a GM for Neocron, he merely did a lot of "beta" work with a lot of GMs, and as I recall, was invited to be a GM for Neocron.

And yeah, I remember the FoM betas sucking too. =3

And TheIggsta and I go waaaayyyyyyyy back in #evo. We have a history together. I'll share a short story now.

Okay, back when NS was still an inkling their channel was much smaller (more like #evo in the past), when language wasn't the major concern because there were so few of us there. There was released an open beta for an MMO. This MMO was Neocron. We made our guild, NS (standing for Natural Selection, obviously). That guild soon died for reasons I can't remember. We reformed the guild under a much sexier name, NSR (Natural-Selection Rebirth. And this was before NSRadio existed, so HUZZAH!). I have a lot of stories from our Neocron guild days. Basically we were made celebrities in Neocron and their forums... but that's another story for another day :)

Anyways, I was our guild "poker". A poker is someone who "pokes" people and get their implants in. I was also our guild gun modder. Quite a profitable business for me, poking people in front of Yo's (store, general meeting place in like Plaza 1, or some place, can't remember) for 100cr a go. Upgrades were tip based (and still very profitable).

Then every other hour... Iggy would hell out in guild chat: "ZERO! TL78 POKE @ YO'S!" (TL78 = Tech Level 78, back in beta, very few people were able to do high level pokes, even fewer were publically available as most were private-use guild only. I was one of the only people available to do high-end pokes commercially back then.)

And then Redford jumped on and did it a couple of times too. Nowhere near the amount Iggy did it though.

Iggy still says it to me whenever he sees me in IRC (or any other game we're playing together). :(

I miss Iggy :(

IIRC, TheIggsta is a GM for FoM (then again, I wonder how many of the people here still know who he is =P)

Might try it out, pending on reviews from the others here.

In the future, I'd advise you to check the rules yourself ESPECIALLY considering what happened to you, what? 2 weeks ago?. Found under the RULES section of the forums.

The post you need to read is this: Forum Rules

I believe your sig is too big, as the limit is 22kb.

Not that you'd know or anything, I mean, it's not like you're there or anything crazy like that.

Though that 3 of 12 part is pretty close, heh. What channel doesn't have it's idlers though?

except Crouching Tiger was a disgrace to Chinese fighting, but hey, if you've never seen a Chinese fighting movie before, it must've seemed awesome. Granted Crouching Tiger did have it's moments, they weren't enough to warrant it as an "awesome" movie that won as many awards as it did. IMO, overrated movie that was way too hyped up.

Well, it's been a while since anyone has shared any recipes. So I'll share a new one of mine. Be warned people MAY fall in love with this food, so use it sparingly, or as much as you want, whatever.

Fall Off The Bone Ribs.

Synopsis: Ribs. Baby back ribs. Damn good ones too. You know how when people eat most ribs, you have to use your hands? These ribs have no such requirement. How does this work you ask? Simply. You use a fork to pick up the meat, and the bone doesn't come with it. Seriously. :D

Note: I don't include how much of each ingredient because it's up to the individual in this case, and depends on the size of your rack of ribs. And stuff.

Ingredients & Materials:
X# of Baby Back Rib Racks
Salt
Sugar
Oregano
Basil
Garlic Powder
BBQ Sauce
Apple Juice*
Orange Juice*
Tin Foil
Oven

* = These will be explained later.

Recipe:
The most important part in preparing baby back ribs is, of course, the rub. A good rub makes good ribs. Everything past the rub is just gravy.

A good rub can consist of something simple, just sugar and salt will work. Personally, I use a rub of salt, sugar, oregano, basil, and garlic powder. You can use whatever you prefer, though.

Rub your rub (keekles) generously over both sides of the racks of ribs.

Put 'em in the oven meat side up (this is very important) for 2 hours at 300F.
Note: It does not matter if the oven is preheated or not.

After 2 hours has elapsed, take the ribs out and put them meat side down on a sheet of tin foil. Pour appox 1/4 cup of BBQ Sauce in, along with 1/4 cup Apple Juice, and 1/4 cup Orange Juice (3/4 cup total). Wrap each rack shut individually with the tin foil (no rack should share a tin foil bagging with another rack, these fella's like to be alone).

Note: The above is the most crucial part in cooking these ribs, as this is where the meat gets tenderized enough to fall off the bones. Apple Juice and Orange Juice are not required, but are preferrable. IF you have no Apple Juice/Orange Juice, use some more BBQ Sauce and a bit of water.

Back in the oven for another 2 hours at 300F.

After the two hours have elapsed, take them back out, uncover them and place them back in meat side up. Cover generously with more bbq sauce.

They'll go back in the oven for 15 minutes at 350F.

After 15 minutes have elapsed, take them out, cut the rack up into serving size (2-4 ribs per piece) and serve.

Enjoy!
