frankly, i cant see what you guys are all complaining about.  Admittedly, i dont go and post or even read the ns forums, but i have been playing since 1.04.  I love(d) all the versions of ns, and found that however "unbalanced" things were, you could win half the games on either side.  Even with civ fading on aliens or lochness on marines, its not the  end of the world.  Admittedly, ninjas are better, but you could ninja in any version (i dont know about anything before 1.04, so dont kill me if you couldnt).  I have never noticed any balance issues....and a skulk is SUPPOSED to kill a LA/LMG one v one, or was last time i checked.  Teamwork is all its about.  How does a knife brigade WIN a game against "unbalanced fades" and such? TEAMWORK FTW.

The above game is referencing to a game me (samurai), Corvus (KNight, i think) Asal (fedaykin), and JJHS (let me stab your face) went knife brigade and won.  i beleive the map was ns_metal.  I may be wrong, but i think that was it.

General / Reducing Rambo Effectivness

all of this is intersting, but i think some of us are missing the point.....define "ninja" and define "rambo"  

If a rambo is defined as "a lone marine who does not work for the good of the team", then a ninja must therefore be "a lone marine who works [/I]for the good of the team".  So the question is "how do decrease the rambo's effectiveness and yet not affect the ninja?"  answer :  dont.  Lone marines are screwed anyway, and we all know how many times <insert your name here> shot a skulk all the way down a hallway and not killed it.  also, decreaseing the lone marines effectiveness hurts the new player exponentially more than it hurts us.  Remember, they dont know whats going on, and if they have a buddy showing them the ropes, that buddy WILL die first. (it always happens, and we all know it) , a 1337 skulk with m4g1c4l h4>< will fly out of the sky and own them.  and anyway, ramboes and ninjas are hoplessly intertwined.  they both work alone, and the ninja does alot of the smae things a rambo does.  Cant hurt one without hurting the other.  

I say leave them be, we arent all great at the game and i always lose as a ninja/rambo/heavy/jp/comm to a single skulk.  (yup, ph34r me for i am nub!)

umm bad news guys.... MY 120 gigabyte hard drive fried itself last night and it had ALL my games on it.  i dont know how it happened, so dont ask, and i wont lie.  IM sorry about teh pictures, i'll get more asap.  (my computer does this sort of thing regularly, i think it got jealous after asal got his own computer, but im not sure...)

i dont beleive i have ever SERIOUSLY been accused of hacking.  Of course, sometimes people tell me i have n3g4tiv3 h4x0rz because i run (consistently!) 0-somewhere between 45 and 50  before i kill anything in cs, but hey, gome are the days of 1.5 where i could run opposite of that....easily....and steam came along and yeah, cs just died out for a while with me. But tbh, i have watched people hack and i dont understand HOW they can still have fun? the whole point of the game is skill, and hax just kill that, so why paly? i really dont understand...
