meh.....i'm jsut Kodiac, been that way for oh.....i dunno how long.  But yes, i do know that the bear has a k at the end.  And i did mean to spell it this way.  But bears are just sweet!  There wasw a story about one in alsaka taht got shot something like 6 times and ate a few people....  It should be obviuos by now why i am who i am.

i've done the comp lab relocate once or twice and pulled it off as well.... Of course, thats what happens when you scream at your team to run for fun places....

has anyone mentioned into an active hive yet?

I watched someone do that one time (not on lm)  It was freaky.........we couldnt decide who was spawncamping who.  The aliens were spawning as fast as we were, and neither could actually attack structures, so it aws a massive free for all

skill stacking? again?  ah well.....Yup, random.

But when teams are even.....just look at them.  If there is a skill stack, it should be apparent immediately.  And honestly, who actually enjoys crushing the other team completely?  I prefer the epic games that take an unholy amount of time and the balance swings between the teams many times.  I think its just your judgement, bottom line.

PS- It helps to ask which team wnats you.

Its a router problem.  I had the exact same thing.

Basically what you do is put +clientport (porthere) and forward that port to the computer via the router.

ie, my brother and I both play on steam, so we had to use different ports: For him, I created a shortcut for the game, and put +clientport 27007 in the command line (any port will do, I just put a port that is most likely not used).  For me, I put +clientport 27008.  Then I forwarded these ports to the appropriate computers and bam:  No more random parse error disconnects.

ok.  I just reinstalled ns for the 4th time, and tried to join.  Now, i can stay for maybe a minute, sometimes two. then i am disconnected.  No error message, but picking through the console i found this:

What is this, and what does it do, and how do i fix this?

EDIT:  Just reinstalled steam and Ns, gave me this error:

b. definetly.  NS is a game, and as such is designed to be fun.  Those of you who take the game seriously enough to absolutely hate everyone who isnt godly at the game, i CANNOT understand.  Winning or losing, i will try and MAKE you have fun, even if theres no hope.  But thats what i try to do.  Cant change you others out there, and i wont try.  

Side note:  Losing as aliens can be extremely awesome.   I remember a game on bast, marines took all the res right off the bat, and secured feed and engine.  (refinery was our hive).  they tried to seige, and we beat them off.  At this point, a kind of Alien Cornamndo appeared.  I cant remember who it was, but we ALL listened to him, and we beat off four seige attempts against heavies, jps, etc.  The final insult was the lmg rush that killed us.   :angry:   ah well.  It was fun, and we lost.

yup.  I know how it is.

 I have a friend who palys ns, and he absolutely refuses to paly with me on LM(maninly because he doesnt like to lose), so i go play on his server.  Now, on lm, you all know how easy it is to kill me, and how i can (usually) just break even.  

On my frineds server, i ran 45/2(or something VERY close).  The admins were screaming "HOLY JESUS OMGWTFHAXBBQ!!" at me.  Of course, it was combat.  But then, a skulk versus heavy i think we know who should win.  But as a skulk i could take out a pair of heavies with shotties.  

The server also ran some crazy plugin that let me get to level 21.  And i was onos.  ANd  then they told i couldnt devour or stomp, because its "cheap".  

Anyway, i do the opposite in cs.  i find a server, go paly, and get CRUNCHED.  like a bug in a blender wiht a bunch of frogs. Im dead whether or not the blender turns on or not.  

LM is a very good server, and alot of people dont realise it because they only gradually get better.  The difference is only real when you go back to a server you played on before LM.

Thats what happens.  Whenever you are about to win, the team says "Hey! We're winning.  Why sohuld i listen to a loser like my comm?"  and they run away.

Also, i beleive that hopeless games are the most fun.  Mainly because the winning team gets lazy, and then poeple like me, true masters of t3h 4r7 of 1337 n1nj4, can casue MASSIVE problems.  IE:  phase gates at hive, hidden sensories in ms, mysterious disappearing res towers, etc.  And then theres the human factor.  In a game where the marines are winning, sometimes a nebulous entity known as the "Alium Cornmando"  appears. This mythical creature is the aliens messiah, and leads them to the holy land of victory.  Then, if Aliens are winning, the same thing happens to hte marines, except they get the Mythic "Front Line Leader".  The marine in question is the one who is ALWAYS where the commander wants, and the teams respects and trusts said marine.  
Hence, i like joining the losing team.   Its not like my lack of skill would hurt it if its losing already, right?

WARNING: BY NO MEANS DOES THIS HAPPEN EVERY GAME.  IF IT DID EVERY GAME QOULD LAST FOREVER AND NOBODY WOULD HAVE FUN.  I HAVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN ONLY SEVERAL TIMES (no more than 5)  OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR AND A HALF OF NS.

If so many people think mcs are better....WHY DOESNT ANYONE EVER DROP THEM FIRST!!?!?

personally, all the chambers have pros and cons, and i will gladly go with anything first....heck, i'll fade with anything.  Course, i suck at fade anyway, but hey....who cares?  I need the practice.

BTW :  silence blink fade OWNS.  its like leap, but faster, quieter, and for an extendeed period of time.

stick a ninja rine with a pack o' mines and have him go as far as he can...there are some vents that are quite extensive, and with good placing you can fit a cc and ip in the same spot....or at least close...

Also, this worked ALOT better on the older nancy..more vents, more fun, and no gasses from lorks.   GRR!

ah well.....took the alines half an hour to find out WHERE we were....we had all the vent rats on our team and everyone else was lost.

(this wasn't LM, btw.....it was Sleepless...a good server, went down about 8 months ago.....but Lm is more fun)
