Yeah, more or less.

Dystopia has like 4 reasonable servers...  although only 2 can be found active 24/7.

SF has 1, and I don't play any other mods.

Friends don't let friends use an MX card, much less give them one. I suggest stabbing aforementioned friend with a screwdriver until they are no longer your friend. Then buy a new GPU.

It should run ok without the active fan, expecially if you have other stuff blowing into that area.  However, if your video card starts complaining, expecially into a long game (unexplained frame loss or glitchyness) turn off the game and give it a rest for a while.  While it isn't in use it doesn't produce much heat at all.

Eh, I checked, and it appears to be my video card's (GeForce 4 MX 440 AGP) fan. I cleaned it up a bit (it was dusty), but it's still pretty bad. I'm guessing it's the ball bearings that are bad; I got the card used from a friend. I ordered a new fan from Newegg, but I'm not sure if it'll work, though the description listed it as compatible. My card has a sort of mount on top of the card (well, bottom if the tower's upright), and the fan is screwed in there. The one I ordered has a kind of casing around it, though.

Done the right things sir.  There is really no way to fix a PC fan, they will fry again in a few days if you lube them anyways.  They need to be maintained in a virtually dust free environment because the ballbearing are so pissy.  Just replace it.

hera totally empties servers.

I would say I like new eon, but it doesn't change the fact that it empties server.  We need only the popular maps, this server is having a hard enough time filling as it is.

Sir, I often pub at least once a day, so if you catch me I don't care if I'm pubbing with you guys or random NSA nubs.  Prefer a change up though.

We love you sir, but NS is all but dead.  NSA still exists, but it's hard to fill games on LM.

The NS site/forums need to go back up because all the good comunities are having too much trouble generating interest.

Dude, since when does origin empty servers?  It's right beside eclipse and veil when it comes to NS map popularity.  Where does shiva fit in? it's kind of new to say that it empties servers already.

There is a chance of it sniping better. But there is a chance of 5 pellets being 7 degrees outward of the center, too :)

i dont know if any of you guys have shot any kind of distance with a real shotgun, but its just about the same way. Ive hit whitetail from 25 or so yards with buckshot, you  just point and pull the trigger, and its basically luck from there. Sometimes the pellets will fly all wild and sometimes theyll stay tighter.

So... are you basically agreeing with but clarifying quarter's post? I'm a bit confused.

He's justifying the NS team's reasoning, based on the fact that quarters post called it into question indirectly.

I said it before somewhere, if you didn't like 3.0, you won't like 3.1.  Nothing has really changed in the game, grenades are better, which is nice, and skulks are a little easier to use.  But the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams are virtually identical to the last version.

The shotgun feels almost exactly the same as the old one if you used the special crosshairs, if anything it snipes a little better.

[SPOILERS FOR PEOPLE ABLE TO INFER THINGS ABOUT SAW ONE]
Randonmly, I would so have won if I was the doctor in saw, I arbitrarily decided to shoot the corpse in the head out of anger halfway thru the movie.

download GIMP.  Open the image.  Add a transparent layer found under Layer -> Transparentcy -> Add Alpha channel.  Select by color whatever you want to make transparent, for jpegs, use enough threshold in selecting that all the colored area gets selected, not just small colored parts.  Clear current selection, leaving the entire selected area blank.  Save as gif or png or another image format the supports transparentcy.

Swift makes a good point, except I think it will be more than a year or two.

Depends on how much can be resused and how much needs to be generated from scratch...  Rumor over the grapevine is that at least one texture set has been rebuilt already, and some fun new models are halfway through being worked up...

Meh, I still play when I can.  NS will stagnate for the time being, the game certianly isn't growing any more.  But there's still NSA to play on, and there's always a scrim somewhere.  I think it's a good thing that most of the pubbers are getting bored of the game.  The time between now and an NS:S release isn't going to be pleasant for those sticking through with this game.  It's probably best for all of us if people who don't like playing the game as it is right now just stop and come back in a year or two when the project has a new face and they can look on it with new eyes.
