Didn't you try the open E3 day? =o

It's not really an MMO but for the cost (ie: free) it's ok I guess.  Don't think it's my thing (too diabloey) but I dunno... people kept telling me it's about the PvP and I guess that aspect was ok.  The graphics certainly are pretty at least =P


edit: by free I mean no monthly costs

the unreal engine (UT2k4 build) is a piece of cake to work with ^^

Until HL2 comes out I'd go so far as to say UT2k4 is THE modding engine =3

grimm... assumptions aside you still have a portion of the combat automated and as you said while you can move you can't really dodge.

Don't get me wrong I'm aware of the whole 'skills' thing which is a lot like CoH but it still makes for very slow battles really.
Until we get PSO-level or preferably above combat interaction I think the term 'MMO' still equates with the words stale, slow and limited in the realms of combat.  That wouldn't matter so much if the games weren't usually so heavily orientated around it (even crafting is mainly for the purposes of making items to be used in combat).

Don't take the post fighter put out as being aimed at you though grimmy... sounds like to me more he's explaining his viewpoint which is very similar to mine =3
Well, ok I think DAoC was a steaming pile of crud but aside from that.  I guess lollers hasn't played PSO ^~

still not fantastic but a lot more involved than the usual fair is Maple Story which most of you guys should know from me mentioning it in IRC.
It's a 2d platform action MMORPG.  The collisions are real-time so you can leap over the badguys and stuff to avoid attacks if you're good

Wellll... as long as I don't have to do anything weird like IP re-routing or something ura; sure! =D

Grimm... I don't really have an opinion of WoW really.  I just have an opinion of what people have told me; I was mainly giving fighter a hug because of the general MMO comment he was making rather than the WoW one =3
I'll make my own mind up about wow if I ever get to play it...

I skip lots grimm and what do you mean without a second thought?  I always think things through a couple of times after shooting my mouth off XD

Seriously though; I've not been playing many MMOs recently.  I've even skipped over some I got into without even touching them.  Maybe it's work sucking up my time or maybe my disillusionment with MMOs lacking the action and player-skill I want so badly is finally dragging me away from them.

When the open EU test hits I'll probably try it but I can't be bothered with the silly hastle of messing with proxies and lying about my addy just to try a north american one ~shrugs and smiles~

~Gem blocks all the attacks with maxxed out evasion stat and a lil nifty footwork, gets hit by the spells but gets made invincible by the mag following them and then Ura gets hit with level 30 zalure knocking his defence down followed by the sharp end of a level 30 shifta-boosted Soul-Eater beserk attack combo killing him instantly~ :p

I was gonna dress up and stuff but I don't think there's any parties going on... hopefully There'll be something next year.  You never know; one of these years I might actually get around to dressing up as May and taking photos :p

I'm a Gemini.  Infact... I'm the perfect stereotype of the Gemini starsign; eccentric, chatty, loves playing with people's minds, often get into multiple things without finishing any of them, etc.

Anyways my old nick though totally original (yup, i was the only one with that name in all of recorded net history) got kinda old because it didn't really represent me anymore; this new idea of having a name based on my personality was a lot more permanent so it could last and I was tired of name hopping ^^;
Jemini was taken about a thousand times as was any other version that sounded half cool until I sorta had a thought out of the blue 'Geminosity'.

Turned out nobody had it and I'm still the Geminosity to this day =D


edit: I guess there could be other reasons behind the name... some people know me under the name 'Jemma' but whether that's got anything to do with RL or not is just another part of the lil mystery ^~

The 40k one lives forever through technology the warhammer world just doesn't have.  Kinda nasty that it runs off the sacrificed lives of thousands of psykers though o.O

The story I remember is that Warhammer is a planet in the 40k universe but during the  years of the great warp storms when nobody could traverse the warp it was totally cut off along with just about everywhere else.  The problem is that when the storms calmed down over most of the galaxy the ones around the fantasy world still remained as fierce and howling as ever and still do to this day =o

Come to think of it aren't the days of storm the result of slaanesh's birth and the destruction of much of the eldar race? =P
