Yes, I know, there has beed some old topic on this, but I'm too lazy to go rumaging through the LM Forum to find it.
Teh big question: How does one convert a Half-Life demo (.dem) to a standard video file (.avi)? What programs are needed, and where can I find them (links help ^_^ )? It'd be nice if someone wrote a quick tutorial type of response on this topic/concept/process... *eyes esuna :rolleyes: *

Whats the difference between the prefixes of ship names? (IE. the H.M.S. or U.S.S and other assorted letters) Like the USS Colorado aircraft carrier.

General / Your Cl_dlls/client.dll Differs

Anytime I try to play on a 3.0 server, it won't let me connect to a server b/c "my cl_dlls/Client.dll differs from the server's". I've tried reinstalling, I've tried copying a client.dll from another comp, for god's sake, please help me! I've been NS3 deprived for 2 days! I'm gonna die!!! :ph34r:

ok, I just downloaded the beta installer...
I installed it and ran steam
When i started up the "Natural Selection (Beta)" game, i got a screen of black and white lines going slanted across my screen, at the top was written "Video not available, cannot find 'vids:divx' decompressor."
Anyone have any clue as to where I can download this codec?

Yeah, it's supposed to be a ceiling-mounted turret. Didn't feel like really texturing it, if anyone wants to mess with it, i'll post the .ms3d of it.

I've recently discovered the wonderful (and annoying) world of sprites and...
I Need :help: !!!
My sprite compiler (puts BMPs into SPRs) requires that the .bmps need to have 256 colors. Can I choose which 256 colors i get to use? like a color palette(sp.)? When i compile them into an alphatest sprite, how do i get choose what color to make transparent? and what color to make the shades of grey?

oh, and btw, i'm using Wavelength Sprite Wizard v1.1

I was bored and i just started to mess with sprites, so i added little landmarks on the origin map. Please tell me if it works or not, i've also included the default ns_origin minimap sprite, in case you forget to make a backup :p

Where is the server(s) located?
And where is everyone playing from?
It seems that if ppl in europe get 50-200 ping, and ppl in USA get 20-60... Is LM in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean?!? Should I put on scuba diving gear next time I play?
