Off Topic / Source mods: September Edition!

Eternal Silence came out yesterday.
ES is a mix of space combat with fancy newtonian physics and your normal FPS shooter.
ExitE came out today. It has Portals, like Portal, but with multiplayer!
Iron Grip: The Opression comes out on the 25th. Iron Grip is a FPS/RTS hybrid unlike most other games that have attempted this odd mix. Instead of mixing the two elements, Iron Grip keeps them as seperate as possible. The RTS player commands the evil government forces (all CPU controlled), while the FPS players play as the rebellion soldiers, who are tasked with trying to defeat an army with but a handful of people (You. The players.)

Since ANeM doesn't like to use big black lines to represent edges in his pictures, people often don't know what the hell they are looking at when he decides to make something.
I'm hoping the topic title, and the marine sticking out of its claw will hint you in to the fact that this, is a skulk.


Its also the first picture of any sort I've done in a while, and was done entirely by mouse. So it automatically loses 5 points.

Off Topic / Slave Hack

Note: As most LMers should know, I make bad posts. K? Bad posts that make cool stuff not seem cool. So bear with me. Cause this is possibly cool stuff.

Anyways. I recently stumbled upon a nice little web based game called Slave Hack. The game itself touts itself as a Virtual Hack Simlation game, though its about as much of a simulation as Burnout is a driving simulation.
Instead, it takes out the more frusterating parts of hacking and leaves you with.. the slightly less frusterating parts of hacking.

You start the game as a script kiddy with a POS box, and slowly work your way up to 1337 hax0rz though Spambots, Warezing and Digital bank heists. or you can just hack every computer you run into and delete all their stuff. Thats always cool.
Oh, and spend too much time trying to figure out annoying little riddles left on the NPC hosts so you can progress in software.

Give it a shot if you're bored. Just remember to wipe logs as frequently as possible =)

Oh, and by using the link up there you start with a 2mbit connection as opposed to a 1mbit connection, which lessens the frusteration of being a noob.

Today is Cinco de Mayo, a day celebrated in Mexico for when they stopped a French invasion.
Today is Childrens day in Thailand, Japan and South Korea
Today is Liberation day in Denmark, Ethiopia, and the Netherlands.
Today is Buddha's Birthday in Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.
Today is No pants day, for anyone who feels the need to not wear pants.
Though something tells me wikipedia lied to me about at least one of these things

Today is also my birthday, and somehow in all you're celebrating of those other things, you guys forgot to post about it. I'm hurt. Really. I am.

I got bored, so I decided to colour an old sketch of mine that I've been meaning to colour for a while (Over a year. I like to think that keeping up with yester-years makes life more interesting)
Figured I should make use of this forum for once because its not like anyone else does  <_<
That and its not done yet.. So I'm not about to show it off to large amounts of people I've never talked to. Here just seems a safer place for comments and criticism.
Don't be too hard on it... I'm just a Photoshop nub

Off Topic / I'm Back...

The title pretty much sums it up. I have returned from my trip.. It was nice.  I had fun... and stuff.

Um.. For those who are a bit behind.. A short summary.
I left on the 10th for a vacation/trip type thing. Now, there were a few reasons for leaving. But for the most part the trip consisted of ANeM wanting to get away from where he is now and go far away and at the same time wanting to visit the person he loves, who happens to live far away  ()
So, obviously the choice of which far away location ANeM went to was quite obvious. In the end he decided Disneyland to be the location and go no where near the person he longed to see...
Err.. Wait, no.. Thats not right.
I did infact get to see my soul mate... and I enjoyed being with her for a week..
But, I really don't feel all too much like talking about it right now. In all honesty I'm a bit depressed right now... For various reasons.
The first one being that I'm not near her anymore. Once again I find myself VERY far away from her. I also once again find myself in a place I wish to be far away from..
and.. well, being the stupid person I am, I managed to lose the only thing I brought back from the magical far off land I visited before even getting back home.. Now, it was only a toque (hat of sorts) but.. It was also a gift from the person I love.. who is also someone I'm not often around to receive gifts from.. So you can probably see why I'm not too happy about losing it.. Also, it was just damn awesome
The third being that she left yesterday to help her cousin move a fairly long distance (which ended up cutting my visit short.. but it was something she had planned prior to it and couldn't back out of).. so I can't even talk to her for another week.. Add to that the fact that my best friend is also leaving for three weeks tomorrow... I'm going to have no one to talk to for a while.. I might even be forced to.. *GASP* play on LM  
Or sleep. Sleep sounds nice. I could go for a good 30 hour nap about now.

Anyways, enough DeadJournal-esque whining... I now present you with a picture of a llama, as previously promised.

Off Topic / Anem Is Leaving!

Well no.. Not really forever, though I'm sure some of you already assumed I had left forever  <_<
Anyways, I'm going on a VACATION. Where to? Uh.. Not telling =P
Actually its so see a special someone... Long distance relationships are so not the win..
and.. Yeah. Time to stop writing and actually LEAVE.

So, yeah.. I might not be around in the following week or two.. but its not like anyone would even notice I was gone unless I actually posted this  :p
