Well I'm heading off to college in a few months and it made me slightly nostalgic. I got to thinking about all you LM folks who got my though my first two years of high school. I'd like to thank you all for that. More importantly I remembered you guys were all about my age. So with that what college are all you LM nubs going to. Me I'm going to the University of Washington. Is anyone close enough that we could get a NS game going just for old times sakes?

While, I'm off to college next year. That means no parents, getting drunk off my ass and more responsibility than I can shake a stick at. All this stuff sounds fun, but I still have no clue where I want to go. So, I decided to do what any reasonable person would do in my situation would do - Put my fate in the hands of people that I haven't talked to in months.
I'm wondering does anyone have any advice for me. Where do go, what to do or how not to screw up. Any advice would be appreciated.

Off Topic / I need Jokes

For some reason there are some girls in my class who always want me to tell them jokes. I know plenty of jokes, the problem is they are all geeky. These girls don't know a lot about science or computers. You can see my problem. I can't every well go and tell then a joke like "there are 10 types of people that know binary those who do and those who don't". I think they would just respond with blank looks. So I'm wondering if anyone has good, nongeeky, clean jokes that I can tell to them.

So I booted up my computer today and started up steam. Getting ready to play ns I was greeted with something different. There was that little "Unlocking Game Files" thing that you saw when you first got Counterstirke:Source. Then I look below the little status bar and see it says now unlocking Half-Life 2. Will someone please tell me whats going on?

Off Topic / Help Nuke Fix His Computer!

Ok heres the problem every time I play any game let it be ns, Half Life , or Starwars: Galaxies my computer crashes. This isn't some little crash that I can fix with Ctrl + Alt + Del ether, its one of those crashes that happen every 5 minutes that force me to restart my computer. Once it even crashed when I was running WinAmp. Now I'm fairly sure its a hardware problem, because I Fdisked my computer, only installed one game and it still crashed.
I'm at a loss to where I should actually start trouble shooting for this bug. My video card works fine, my sound card is built into the motherboard (nforce 2 mobo) and I haven't touched anything inside my computer sence I left for my trip. My working theroy is that its over heating. Right now as I'm typing this my CPU is running at 32 C and my system temp is 39 C. The CPU frequently gets up to around 60 C when its doing something that requires work. Right now I'm using the stock fan from the CPU box ( I built my computer from scratch) and its running at 3924 RPM. In case any of you were wondering I'm using a Amd AMD Athlon™ XP 2400+ and its running at 2 Ghz.
Anyway my question is two fold. Do all of you think my diagnosis of the problem is correct, and if so do any of you know of any good, cheep fans that could solve my problems? I'll be glad to answer any other questions about my computer.

Wow, its been a month. I'm just poping in to say hi before I go play some ns. Anyway I'm back from my month in the backcountry with the SCA. I've got lots of stories to tell, but not right now. I hope everyone had a good time while I was gone and didn't get to drunk. I guess I'll see you all in game.

I posted about me leaving a while back, but that was just telling you about me leaving for three days, this is a whole month.
So heres the deal. I'm going to be leaving on the 17 of June and getting back one the 16 of July. This will be one of the few times in my life where I'll actually please my moms side of the family because I'm going to be doing a hipply, back to nature camp out thing. I'm going to be camping beach on the Olympic peninsula. If any of you haven't been out there I strongly suggest you go. Its one of the most beautiful places you will ever see. While I'm there I'm going to be rebuilding a trail by the Ozet ranger station. I've actually been out there before and man that trail needs work. I'll be going out with 5 other kids that I've never met before and 2 crew leaders who I also haven't met.
All in all it think it will be really fun, but I'll miss you guys and ns. Hrm, I guess thats it. I look froward to seeing all of you when I get back. So long for now and have a fun summer.

Yep I'm going away for the weekend to do some trail work with the SCA (Student Conservation Association). I'll be back Sunday. I just figured I'd let everyone know before they started wondering were I was.
The real reason I'm posting this is because this will be my first time away from my parents for more than two days. Anyway I'll be going soon bai all.
