Well, I'm still here, somewhat. Just finished my first year of grad school, but the school ran out of funding for me so I'm looking for a job.  :(

I'm in the beta for NS2, but I can't say I've played it, seeing as I lack a computer that can handle it.

I agree with GrayDuck, how could we forget you? I still remember everyone :D

So, if you haven't gotten it yet, go get it.

If you have, what do you think?

Well, of course I'm only going to talk about the smart things I do.  I won't tell you about the various silly things I've done, as funny as that may be.  Unless, of course, you ask.

Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway, y'all should check out Men of War.  It's totally fun, but different from what you'd normally consider as an RTS.  It's been the latest fling for my brothers and I.

I'm still around.  Still play CSS, DODS, TF2, L4D2, Starcraft, D2, etc.  Mostly with my brothers, but other people when I can find them.

I'm in my senior year of aerospace engineering (due to a transfer screw-up, I have to retake Chemistry in the fall, meaning I graduate in December), and then I'm looking at grad school in propulsion using liquid propellants.

As for what else I do besides gaming, I'm a participant in NASA's USLI program, heading up the payload/recovery subteam for my university's team (The Mississippi State Space Cowboys, if you're wondering.  Not my choice of name :-/)

Basically, the University gives me money to spend blowing things up.  Pretty sweet deal, I'd say.

HOLY CRAP.

But, then again, NS2 is also getting closer....

. . . and so I moved to Ubuntu.  Vista started giving me crap about my (perfectly legal, I might add) install being un-activated, even though it was properly done when I installed it.

So now I'm using ubuntu, running steam through Wine.  Working fairly well so far, although I have some performance issues at the moment that I'm working around.

Now, the fun part- anyone else running linux, in any form, for any reason?

Sleep?  I haven't had any of that since classes started two weeks ago.  Just periods of furious activity followed by periods of slightly less furious activity.

I'm still waiting for that alpha.  Part of me wants it to come out now, and part of me is like "whoa, shouldn't you be studying"?

Heh, I got my girlfriend into gaming.  She played for a while on her laptop, then took my internship (damn GPA grumble grumble) and built a better desktop than mine.  Now I'm trying to get her to play NS with me, so she'll pre-order NS2.

And I'm suffering from a huge case of nerd jealousy.  My girlfriends computer is better than mine, and this is causing some terrible issues.  I play on it while she's at work, and pretend it's mine.

Well, Asal and Johnjacobjingleheimerschmidt are still interested.  They're too lazy to post, though.

And Asal usually goes by Fearless Martyr, now.  Weirdo.

/Offtopic segway ninja.

That's nothing.  You should have seen the paper that my tech writing group gave me to proofread- there was a 'sentence' with no less than fourteen commas.

I hated them.

But yes, NS2!  My girlfriend (yup, I've acquired one of those mythical beasts) wants to try NS now, to see if she'll like it. Har har.

I'm in the pre-order club as well.

Here's to hoping it's worth it.

Aye, just watched it.  Made me want to play NS again, so me and some friends are going to be playing tonight (hopefully).

Considering the pre-order- I never had the money to support it as a mod, so I may do it for old time's sake.

I vote for Schiavo-esque vegetative life.

After all, how can we judge if the forums are alive if there is no activity to indicate conscious thought?  If we can show some conscious thought, it may provoke a return to a more active life!

Or, you know, not.

This would also seem to imply that such foul places as 4Chan are dead by definition!!

Aye, that's my screenie.  The others are Spinviper, Asal, and Mary, and there's another guy hiding farther outside the picture.

1000 bullets = 1 kill (we kept a clip for the final rush through the door.)

Best.  Accuracy.  Ever.

Yeah, I beat Episode 2 as well.  It did answer some of my questions, and it also solidified my resolve to go to Halloween as the G-Man, if I can find a cheap blue suit.

And,

I'm not even angry.
I'm being so sincere right now.

I have to say, I loved it.  I honestly think I haven't had that much fun in a very long time.  Admittedly, it was short, and there wasn't much story, but it was just long enough.  Any longer, and it would've been repetitive, and any more information on the plot would have given too much away, and ruined the mystery.  There were several times I actually laughed, something I don't do often.  I don't want to spoil it, though, so I'll keep it brief, but one of my friends managed to get the song from the end credits.  It's amazing, but I got it stuck in my head today during class.

Well, it seems to me that we all love Portal.  I know this because as of this writing, ten of the people in the LM group were playing it.  I haven't seen that many of us playing the same game, at the same time, in ages.  Crazy.

So, I've beaten it.  Who else, and what do you think of it?
