What's to see in Oslo? Should've gone to Bergen instead! Oslo's a nice enough city, though it might be a little cold right now. Enjoy

man are good games on lm so rare nowadays that you need to make a thread when there is one?

Yeah that's what I was trying to say... I certainly hope not.
And if this is the case, then we can only blame the NS devs for not fixing the game! :D

I have lots of good 15-20 minute games, even on the losing side, some games are just satisfying if you know you did a good job, tryed your best, but in the end were outclassed by a flawless preformance on the other team.  I have also had lots of terrible 40-60 minute games in which one team gives up 10 minutes in and just lames the hell out of some indescriminate base area killing anything that enters moving.

Good short games and crappy long games aren't all that uncommon.  Good long games are.

the mva win rates says a whole lot more about server culture than that pic does. how could your 20 seconds of that game enrage you enough to make a thread of it?

It comes down to a lack of good commanders, yeah.

The serversize is 16. Note that marines win nearly as often as aliens do.

General / Magnum.
« on: December 12, 2004, 08:58:39 AM »
makes a major difference, especially on overwatch. people won't be able to whore the the spawns in the magnum area to as great an extent, and it seems to make it easier to whore the rocket launcher. on lockdown you're able to combine the magnum and the shotgun, to hurt with the magnum and finish off with the shotgun. with the magnum damage reduction, people will have to come up with more refined ways of dominating the game.

having been apart of the admin bureaucracy, i can honestly tell you that this thread won't go anywhere.

about reshuffling legion, they already started. me and 6 admins that none of you ever heard of because the never came onto lm were removed. progress is being made!

I am having the same problem. Favorites are wiped every time steam is shut down. Using the history list works about as well though.

General / What Resolution Do You Play In?
« on: July 31, 2004, 04:01:25 AM »
ns's graphics are modest to say the least. i wouldn't sacrifice frames for a higher resolution because it doesn't really add to my experience. the text is too small in any resolution higher than 1024x768 anyway!
