I believe Lunix is some sort of os, or something, similar to linux.... Like linux, but not really.

These are a few poems that I have composed over the years. I would like some comments to see what you guys think about them.
A Murmur in the Wind.
A rustle through the leaves.
A rippling of the pond.
There is something in the air,
something far, but near.
Ever close. Ever distant.
A yearning for something,
somewhere, someone.
Nothing can compare.
No one would dare.
To think the suffering
Being seperate,
but yet a pair.
The thought is there
though the body isn't.
I love you
Tis the murmur in the wind.
A Raindrop
There it goes.
A small bead of water,
Drops from the sky,
Down it plummets,
Taking shape as it falls.
Could it be a tear?
The sky is crying.
You can feel its sorrow,
As the sky pounds the earth.
Thunder and lightening,
Shake the ground.
Why can't they understand,
The sky is crying.
Sleepy Rain
Sleepy rain,
Falling on my head.
Nothing seems to change
Nothing but the bed.
I roll and toss,
Thinking about my loss.
What did I do?
How did I loose?
I cannot tell.
It’s completely gone.
No trace of existence.
It might be for the best though.
Just like an arrow shot from a bow.
Oh where, oh where did my sleep go?

General / Ns 3.0 Thoughts

I completely agree with Uranium on most of his points. The game is unbalanced, and the marines have the advantage. I just played it today for the first time. I was alien, and had so much trouble killing anything marine. I was a fade, and got taken down by one marine with a lmg, and pistol, and a knife swipe..... That's kinda pathetic... I'm not sure if it's because of my lack of skill, but I used to be a darn good alien. Now aliens suck, to put it plainly. My vote, just play 2.01.

Niteowl, I very much agree with everything you have said. I'm 19, and I've had 2 gf's, (although I have been asked out more than that, but I was dating someone else). I dated my first gf for 1 year and 9 months. From what I have been told, that's quite a long time for a first gf. It took me a while to become really interested in one girl, but I had talked to her a lot before, and I liked what she enjoyed, so things went well. She actaully asked me out (I was too chicken to do it myself, but I'm not complaining *nudges all the girls*) My second girlfriend, I'm still working on heh. We have been going for a year and three months now. Unfortunately, she and I met in college at UNC Chapel-Hill. She is living in Charlotte, and I am living in Cary (about 2 hours away) which makes things difficult at times. Anyway, I have found both of my gf's through stuff that I like doing. First one, marching band, second in TaeKwonDo. In both cases, we have had pretty similar interests, although a few different, but that just makes it fun. You get to try new things that way.
Anyway, to all you lunixmonster forum posters, the advice that niteowl, gem, and the others have posted is pretty darn sound advice. Only thing I can add is to relax if you can. From my experience, girls don't like to be next to an edgy guy, if the girl you are dating makes you edgy when you are around her, and it has not gotten any better since you first started dating, then you might be better off finding someone you can relax and "be yourself" around.
Again, I can't say much about dating a guy, I have only dated girls, but being a guy, I can tell the females that are listening, that most guys, me too, have trouble even walking up and talking to a girl. Most of us, I think, consider a lot of girls to be too "out of our league" in most cases. If you notice a guy that seems to be watching you, if you are interested, go ahead and walk up to him, and start talking. Most guys will be receptive to talking to you, specially if they are interested. I think that walking up to them and starting to talk boosts their confidence because you showed interest too.
Anyway, enough of my babeling. I would definatly consider what Niteowl and the others have said, they know what they are talking about, I've experienced a lot of it. If you have any questions, please IM me at "pepsihatman" or "portablepepsi" (which ever is on) or just post here, and I'll try and help. I like talking to people too, sometimes I get bored sitting here. I'm sure the others would be glad to give advice/listen also. Speaking of listening, thanks for listening to me and my ramble! Peace.
BTW, how old are you Niteowl? I am guessing late 20's at youngest, and 35 at the oldest. (nothing wrong with being older though!)

You play magic eh? I just got me some Mirrodin cards, bought about 8 tournament packs. Made some pretty good decks out of them too. I love the artifacts in Mirrodin. It makes the gameplay so much more interesting than some large craw wurm attacking. Btw, Grimm, where do you live? Perhaps near Cary, North Carolina? Heh, I know it's a long shot, but I would like someone to play Magic the Gathering with.

I think I am best when left alone as a gorge. I can get structures and oc's up pretty fast, and I can defend myself pretty well. If the other aliens keep the marines busy, I can have some good things waiting in base.

Trust me, I work at circuit city in the car audio dept. Linkin Park meteora and Reanimation are some of the best car music cd's you can get. (especially if you have a subwoofer or low end speaker) Meteora is good to just chill too, and some songs are angrier than others, so it's not all just softer music. Reanimation is a good mix between rap, rock, and techno. It has a lot of awsome beats, and some good lyrics, and singing.

I have gamma slightly up.... kinda a moderate median between looking good and practical to see. I can usually barely see the aliens in the dark hallways, but I can still see them.

Howdy. I'm new to the forum, and to the site, but I always play in the Lunixmonster server for NS. I absolutely love the server. The admins are pretty darn good and nice and fair. Anyway, I wanted to let you guys know that I'm here. I started playing in the server around December of 2003. Since then, it has really been the only server that I play NS in. I will be checking the forums pretty much daily, just to see what's happening. Lemme know if you guys want to know anything about me. Just post a reply, and I can answer. Btw, I know Satiagraha pretty well, and he is the one that got me into NS. Heh, I work at Circuitcity in the car audio dept, so if you have any Q's relating to that, I can help heh. Hello, I am new here. I play on the Lunixmonster server quite a bit. I love the server! The admins are alwasy cool, and very fair. Anyway, I think that the combat should be on a seperate server.. when you get tired of playing that, then just go to the other server, and play normal ns.
