The no-monthly-fees thing is a definite limiter.

I've been playing CoH with my roomates. Having a healer that actually heals, a controller that actually controlls on your team 5 feet from you rocks sooo much.

Alternatively, there's RO. I never really cared for it much, but it was something to do for a while.

Thanks all, I've updated with new pictures. Everything is going great, so we're happy it's all over (well, the pregnancy part at least). I should be playing in oh, 4 years...

Ahh, Ohio State has a good football team. But Michigan's is better.

I leave tonight for mine. Starts tomorrow and goes for three days.

I think the server's locale is about 50 feet across the parking lot in that huge building, rather.

Not worth an update to change it to stop the smartass remarks, but the next addition, can someone please fix it?

You don't want the location to be exact. Stalkers and the like.

If it's in the general vicinity, let it go.

I’ve been waiting to reply so I wasn’t the eldest one in the post… but oh-well.  Hoots is slacking off today.

I am a Minnesota native (Twin Cities area), went to college at UW-River Falls.  In the summer of 2001 I graduated college, got married, and moved to California.  I got a job working here as a database programmer, and my husband started grad school at UC-Davis (working towards his Ph.D. in Physics).

Bought a house in 2002, got a doggie shortly after that (Schnapps, my beloved German Shepherd), and within the past few months found out we are <finally> pregnant!  Baby is due in December of this year  :D

The plan is for my husband to finish up his degree in late 2006, early 2007 and we’ll pack up and move to wherever he gets the best job offering (*fingers crossed for the MN area*)  Plus at that point in time <hopefully> I can officially become a stay at home mommy.    ^_^

Grats gray!

I'm a College student by day, Ice-cream slinger in the afternoon, and Bible-thumping crazy by night. Seriously though, when I'm not taking classes or studying or working, I'm usually taking a pretty active role in my church, hanging out with various people, and spending some scraps of the time I have left rolling d20s and playing games.

I go to OSU, where I'm majoring in Chemistry and Philosophy; I fence Epee with the local club too. Kind of an eclectic collection of activities.

Hell, I'd not be opposed to LM becoming a large gaming community that fields clans in any game we're all playing regularly.

I say, why stop at BF2?

Apache + Hellfires + Fly By Wire = Owntyouthanks.

This game is your standard team push map, until you get teamwork.

Then, it is frikkin awesome. A teammate and I once had to reload our chopper 4 times, because we destroyed so many people/tanks/bogies. Amazing, just amazing.

Oh, and the squad leader system, genius! I've been going squad leader, getting in a blackhawk, and just flying over the attack zone dropping my boys off and commanding the fight from above. It _wins_.
Weren't you trolling the pre-release BF2 demo thread at the NS forums?

Yes, because it's exactly the same game as BF1942 for the most part, except that it facilitates teamwork destroying everything.

I did not expect the second part.

To combat the entire alien team healing the hive, you still need 100 sieges.

Or 1 grenade launcher.
