i've got a good rofl moment for ya'll
i was playing on mineshaft, i don't remember when, it was a while ago; neither do i remember players. HOWEVER! the aliens had 2 hives, I was commanding, so, although the aliens had 2 hives, i had convinced my marines it was a good idea to take a lot of res nodes, not worry about the hives right away. i get a phase gate outside their hive at sewer, beacon the team, and they all run in. here i am thinking to myself, "alright hive down." NO SIR! NOT TODAY! i look back and there's one guy left crouching behind the hive in that little hole. i tell him to knife away, expecting him to die. NO! the aliums can't find him at first, then a fade finds him, goes down the hole on top of him. at this point i start dropping med packs and cat packs all over this poor marine's head. i tell the reast of my marines to get through to help out asap. NOPE! they get slaughtered....not one shot was pointed toward the hive. knifer's still there, happily knifing away while his head gets sliced in half by a fade, only to have it put back together by magical nanites. long story short, fade stays on top of him trying to kill him, he keeps knifing the hive, hive dies, fades gets shirtguned by a marine who phased in and the knifer SURVIVES!
i spent the next 5 minutes on the floor laughing. they had to eject me to get something done, asal turned on his Mic so the whole team could hear that i wasn't just being an ass and that i couldn't stop(this just helped to fuel my laughter). we ended up losing the game because while this was happening they got the other hive up. but it was certainly a moral victory for me!

underlings just sounds so...mechanical. minion just isn't the same, underlings has the word "under" built right in, they are LOWER THAN ME AND LITTLE AND WEAK = underling. coolest word evar.

i haven't played ns for more than an hour total in the past 6 months...i still say "Oh Noes!" "For the Win" and "To Be Honest IRL" all the time...i'm noob. i guess that's what happens when you play NS for 2 years straight(since the beginning baby yah!)
and, as i've been around since hte beginning, i can't hear the word "scorpian" without laughing, smirking, or chuckling a little. damn those hovaring non-flappers!

or, if you want to meet more people like seth, spend a couple days up at michigan tech! seth, you sound like 1 out of every 2 guys in the dorm i lived in when i was up there....and the dorm was a quarter mile long, 5 stories. the other half of the guys were gamers and nerds like me.

yup yup! killing the gaming habit comes easy once you get more important things to do. school, work, women, work, money, work, spending, work, women, school, and work. oh, and of course, the stuff that never gets done in between, like chores around the house etc.
god i can't remember the last time i got a chacne to sit down and just play computer games for hours. must've been sometimes this summer or something.

i once spent an entire night thinking that i kept hearing the "ping" sound of the scan, and everytime i closed my eyes i'd see motion hacking circles. i just thought to myself "god, i need tos top playing..." well, that was a year ago...oops. anyway, it turns out i jwas just a dunce and left the computer on the natural selection website witht he music on, and at one point DURING that music it makes a ping sound that was loud enough to hear, while the rest wasn't. i got up the next morning and WOW did i feel stupid, so i played more NS to make me feel better.
