General / Any Tips For A!ming?

I've been to a few official CS tournaments (never participated) and the best players usually had a 2ft by 2ft mousepad and super low sensitivity. They practically had to move from left to right 3x to turn around....but apparantly if you're serious thats the way to go

Thats too hard core for me.

You need to at least blink-hop.
This is a technique I use all the time as fade, if you just tap the mouse when blinking, you can get considerably far without using that much stamina at all. Very useful for when you turn a corner and there are 6 marines with lvl3 shotties.

Sweet Jesus! i cant believe how low that is.  you must have to swipe the mouse 5 times across the desk to get a 90 deg. rotation. Sens. 5 annoys me 1.055 is just ludacris.

Really it's just the fact that this beta seems to have gotten no testing before being rushed out the door. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, as it means they're trusting us as beta testers, or a bad thing, as it means they're not caring about quality control at all.

I hope flayra didnt resort to tossing quality control out the window, or we're gonna lose one of the best games ive played in years

Bleh, you all are crazy. I go more towards Radeon's sensitivity. I always use 8 for all HL mods, it's just what I'm used to. Way back when, I used 14, but then I (painfully) switched to 8 under a recomendation from a friend. I think it's *much* better.

i agree with your sensitivity sati. i used to be at 8 ro 9 all the time. That is, before i started using steam. when i started with steam everything seemed to respond less.

I cant say its too different from beta3, i know the lerk never bothered me b4. the stamina meter never posed a problem for me when i was lerk. when your gliding it came back, nothing serious.

Other than that, i think a few more points couldve been improved upon.

I find that low sensitivity helps if you're going for all headshots. I have mine set to 1.35

You must be insane. my sensitivity is at 12-13 all the time.

The best thing to know when your playing CS is to take short, controlled bursts. This makes for your gun to have a lot less recoil, giving you a great deal more accuracy
If you want to put even more into your shots, its good to crouch when your shooting. Since your center of gravity is lower, you have more control firing your wpn.
And if you want to put finess into your shot, fire those controlled burst towards the upper part of your enemy's body. That way, if a bullet strays from the head(which should be in the dead center of your crosshair), you'll have a chance of hitting the torso as well. If you aim for the lower body, it could take up to 9 mp5 bullets to take down an enemy.

P.S. You should NEVER spray with the following gunz (unless at point blank)
-AK-47
-MP5 Navy
-P90 (or pretty much any smg)
-Para (you'll never land a hit with this if you dont use above firing techniques)
-M4A1 (possible with silencer(adds accuracy) but not recommended)

Dynamic crosshairs are when it does spread apart to estimate recoil. This was a new feature added in 1.4 (i think it was 1.4, if not then later). Before then, it was a static crosshair, one that just stayed still.

Yes but this feature isnt an option is it? I mean, I never thought you could turn it on or off.

So many of the popular CS maps are just big ugly square brushes with a total of maybe 5 textures for the whole map and one default half-life skybox. I could probably whip out a CS map in about five minutes.

Amen to that bob, those maps are only good for honing your response time, but then again, thats why we play NS...

Either way, i havent played to many custom maps, i'm a big fan of the originals

I pull that position on my chair at home sometimes too. Its a lot more confortable than it looks, but you gotta have somewhat of a big office chair.

The only game I consistently play is CS. I'm one of those rare CS players that isn't thirteen, loaths hacking and absolutely hates team stacking. I enjoy this server because those things rarely happen. I have noticed some team stacking but I understand no one wants to lose. If you are that good at CS you could help the other team though. I would suggest is using the auto-assign key when choosing teams. Regardless of whether or not you like T, the CT's could us a little help sometimes. Choosing the team w/ the disadvantage and winning the round makes you a much better player. Unfortunately, you can win w/o teamwork but its much easier to accomplish the objective if you work together!

OMG. Its good to know there are still people out there that share my point of view. I thought 99% of CS players were retarded. I agree with admojostrator complety, people should listem to your advice more often. I too am a CS veteran. I will be spending more time on the forums teaching TEH n00bs the ways of CS. So guys, if you need any advice regarding CS, come talk to me. B)
