turned out to a cl_updaterate problem...it was set to 15...

zero7's mic is fine, it is his soundcard's problem.

Update: my mic blows, i'm sending it in for a replacement.  <3 limited time warranties.

Okay, okay okay, i really fixed it this time.  No lies. Don't hurt me, please.

If you guys ever have mic problems, and you know its not your mic or sound card (in my situation, i switched both with no success), then its most likely your cl_updaterate and cl_cmdrate.

set cl_updaterate to 9999, and cl_cmdrate to anything between 20 to 30.
