God damnit.
I don't feel like playing ns anymore. Combat blows after the 100th time the god damn players stack holy_Devil or cwag. It also doesn't freaking help that fsd is co-only until the lag is fixed, and 3.0 isn't fun if you don't play with regs you know and trust.
The only alternative is 2.01, and lunixmonster is the only server in the whole god damn ns community. what does that mean? Noobs. Utter, horrible, noobs. I've gotten commrage after commrage after commrage after commrage on lm. Why?
"COMMS A NOOB," says the stupid idiot that got in the chair because i had to get out to build my own crap when no one did and drops a single turret while getting out, and shooting my chair as if to shoot me.
"I need ammo" ammo? What the HELL do you need ammo for? the skulks are freaking circle straifing you to death before you can empty your god damn clip. why do you need 250 ammo? you're going to DIE before you can even reload, you can't shoot for crap. Period.
"Omg, stop skulk rushing us, its instant win for you" No it isn't. shut the hell up. maybe if you'd stop building when you hear the skulks you'd live 5 seconds more and maybe actually take a couple hp off that lone skulk so it'll be easier for me to kill it when i get out of my chair for the 5th freaking time.

I'll play with you LITO. Also here is something else funny. Some newbs came into LM, who were obviously friends, and they all ejected me, Grimm witnessed this. Then they spent ALL our start res on Turrets. I had LB intervene.
Give me a time, hollar on IRC I will play. I only do co since nobody plays on LM :(

Pshh - I play on teh lunixmonster exclusively. I don't even have the 3.0 beta :p
Unfortunately, I've been busy as hell lately, and haven't really gotten some serious playtime logged in. The fact that everybody who plays on lm now is too much of a flippin' nub to even get 3.0 and leave my precious 2.1 alone :huh:
So uhh...I'm on LM when I possibly can, for what it's worth :)

i play on lm..dont know why i put that stress on myself, but then after i flip out i usually just chill out cause its just a game man, just a game.

I play on LM a lot, mostly when Arch is there. Sancho plays to.
But yes, noob overload on LM. Simple fix to your problems:Don't comm, or be an alien. If no one wants to comm, let them die.

its not a matter of winning or losing. i want the great games we used to have. The games where when the hive was attacked, people would actually go to save it! when the comm would make great strategies and it would bs shattered by smart alien reswhores. Where did those tense moments go when someone put up a sensory in the hive where the marines set up a base, and we would watch with sweaty palms as the hive goes up...25%....50%...then BOOM, some marine accidentally shoots it. Then its a rush to stall until the hive is up so movements could be made.
Where did all that go? It went straight out the window when the nubs came in.

Well the community's attention is split right now. Half to one version, half to the other. It's hard to get a group together all on one server right now. When 3.0 goes final and the lag issues are fixed I guarantee you'll be seeing games like the olden days. It's just that right now we're given a choice of new shiny 3.0, but with almost all co maps, or old clunky 2.0, but with actual ns gameplay. So it's kind of hard to choose. Patience, young jedi.

what time zone are you in? Regulars usually go in in the afternoon. People like DHP and CWAG are on in mornings when someone prods them into doing it.

This is begging for someone to make an 'english gentleman' replacement for the commander sounds. Like that cliched australian one that was done once. I installed it for one game, laughed, removed it. But still, it was fun.

Meh, how can you guys say you've seen true commrage on a server that prohibits base recycling?
On bast if you reach your breaking point, you recycle base, drop an armory at the bottom of drill shaft, and you tell your marines to get all the ammo they want.

Meh.. I gave up on NS a while ago. Too stressful when stuck on the wrong team.. Which I always seemed to be on... and not to mention the betas. Dear god, the betas.. Why any one wanted into them is completely beyond me. I should have done what LB did.. Avoid the betas. Curse LB. Curse him to deathiness
It seemed as if no matter what, you couldn't rely on anything in the betas. Something would always mess up and people would exploit it. Then you would be owned. People complain about 1.04 and its jetpacks. 1.04 jetpacks don't have anything on the annoyingness of focusxeno. Or the egg bug, or the 2.1q lerks of total doom, with their uncapped bite speed and airspeed. Oh yes, such fun were the betas...
Actually, they started out fun. The 20+ hp per level was great. You spent more time alive than dead. Hurrah. Then it was removed and all this spawn time junk was thrown in. Now you spend more time dead than alive. Hurrah!
Not to mention the build which had poorly capped air speeds. Marines could jump from the top of the big elevator on metal and float down nice and easily..
Screw commrage.. I have Cannon-Fodder Rage.

"topside for questioning" "what the hell for? we got him. let's kill him now" "and if they find the body?" "body? what body?" "<laughter>"

I dunno.. it was on that blitzkiko or whatever its called. I remember an admin constantly JPing on to the hive and burying themself in it.. I also remember then pwning them as lerk with spikes and bite..

Hmm. Reminds me of a game on hera that just wouldn't end. At some point a marine got onto teh clorf and built a CC and an IP there. I made a point of burying myself whenever I spawned there...

Alright, I have a real case of Lito commrage. So we're playing on Eclipse... the current commander has 400+ res and isn't spending any of it on any upgrades of any kind. So he got booted. I hop into the chair... do some upgrades, and then Diablus takes the chair. I should've known this was an ass game when everyone was staring at each other.
At any rate, we lost EC twice. Diablus and I took it while everyone went their own ways and dicked off. So we built up EC. Diablus was getting pissed as hell 'cause NO ONE WENT TO THEIR ****ING WAYPOINT! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?! So I hop into the chair. "EVERYONE PHASE TO COMPUTER CORE RIGHT NOW!" SO WHAT DO THEY DO?! THEY ****ING STARE AT EACH OTHER! "OGM COMMANDO I NEED HMG/HA/GL/WELDER/HEALTH/LIFE PLZ THX!" What in the HELL do you need all that ^^ for if YOU DON'T EVEN GO TO YOUR DAMNED WAYPOINT YOU NUB?! I was YELLING at my monitor, "GET TO YOUR ****ING WAYPOINTS!" Diablus built a PG, TFAC and was building other stuff on his own at CC while HE WAS BEING ATTACKED BY AN ONOS AND THREE FADES! So I had to hop out of my damned chair to attack, because NO ONE WOULD GO TO THEIR WAYPOINTS! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO FOLLOW ORDERS?! Then there's this one dude... PenStar. What an idiot. it seems its time.... to form the N.O.N. (nuffification of nubs) allegiance to exterminate the infestation on LM. itll be tough tho but as long as we have plently of Ip's and anti nub suits to prevent infection well be fine.

I want to kick/ban people for being stupid.
Example: I'm building an RT on ayumi with another guy, and we get wasted pretty badly. I die and in spectator I see another dee-ood running down the hall towards us. I'm thinking he's going to save the RT. Instead he stops to weld shut a vent about four feet from the RT in question. You can hear them chewing on the RT and he just ignores it, welding away. Then he gets killed.
I should try commanding more, I've only done it once and didn't have a CLUE on what I was supposed to do. I dropped a couple IPs and an armory and arms lab and a few seconds later three bajillion onos came and killed it all :/

Nah, really you should try it. Your normal hot-headedness should translate nicely to COMMRAGE. But, get a working mic first. Makes it that much more fun.

For the most part, I've still been playing on Lunixmonster almost exclusively. Once in a while I'll hop on FSD for some co_ action, but not very often.
If you ever need someone in LM and I'm not there, just gimme a shout in IRC, either Grimm or Grimmus will get my attention as I have those set to alerts.

That's basically it, Lito. The range for the special orders to show up is TEENY. I don't know why they haven't fixed that in all this time. =\
