Title: Giant epic hour long killing extravaganza
Post by: Reckless on April 17, 2005, 10:50:16 PM: Man. Hour long game that started around 8:30..
Marines gave up in the end, defeated by a foe far worse than aliens: fatigue.
Mad props to Newborn for crazy endurance comming.

Post by: X-S-Z on April 18, 2005, 11:09:54 AM: Even I was tuckered out at the end of that game, and Newborn was so fed up he finally said "screw it" got out of the comm chair, and threw himself into the pit. The game turned when onos #18 came in and destroyed our advanced armory, sealing our fates. :(

Yeah that's what I was trying to say... I certainly hope not.
And if this is the case, then we can only blame the NS devs for not fixing the game! :D

I have lots of good 15-20 minute games, even on the losing side, some games are just satisfying if you know you did a good job, tryed your best, but in the end were outclassed by a flawless preformance on the other team. I have also had lots of terrible 40-60 minute games in which one team gives up 10 minutes in and just lames the hell out of some indescriminate base area killing anything that enters moving.

Good short games and crappy long games aren't all that uncommon. Good long games are.

Sad but tru. In that game the teams kept going back and forth. but i had had enough when we lost cargo, then all our nodes "cept base" and the armory went down, and the onoses kept coming cause they had eventually capped everything they took from us <_< . but it was a great game.
