Title: Oooh New Map Pack...... Doh!

OK i treid to install a mapack but it just totaly $#%!%^ up steam hardcore and well i have to deleate and reinstall wich i dont fell like doin anytime soonn .... sooo well be back ina day or two.   O can some one tell me plz what went wrong to make it go awol.(my programs love to f me over)

Solution: Dont Download the "install" mappacks, do em manually. I never install map packs because there have been a few virus's found before i scanned em in a few... bastards <_<


i use winrar and stuff to get maps and put everything in the folders manually. or dl the map(s) from the server.

Perhaps.  How about elaborating and telling us exactly HOW Steam is messed up?  is there an error dialog?  Does it talk to you?  Do you see it in your dreams at night?  What?

okdoke well i saw the thread on minimap pack and i thought hmmm it might mess up my game but lets try anyways.  so first i dl it and it just goes to my desktop and then i transfer it to teh sprites/minimap file and it said overwrite existing files with new ones? i said yes and thats how i thought it worked...  i know it said in teh readme to put it in a sprites/overviews file but i had no such file like that so welll i think i did sumin wrong...
