Why does the server lag spike every 2 seconds for about 2 seconds?, If you look at your ping, about every 2-3 seconds it goes (For example my ping is usually high 50's) so 50, then it shoots up to about 300-800 every 2 seconds. Now I only get mad about that cause I like to snipe, and seeing a person skip when they jump a corner doesn't make me a happy Sniper :(
So whats wrong with the server?

Dunno, maybe it's the NS server running on the same box drawing attention away from it. I for one will always take the smooth as silk gameplay I get on the Lunixmonster over a non-laggy game of CS any day.

Hmmm, I never lag on the CS server. My ping might jump to 300 every so often, but the effect is minimal.

It likes to jump to 300 whenever I make that daring rush around the corner to shoot the enemy in the head. I see the shots bouncing off his head, then I can't move, then I'm dead. But meh, it's only CS.

When I lag-spike, I can't move for about a second. Then, everything speeds up in order to make up the loss of time. If you happen to see an enemy coming at you during that time, everything that helps is jump and do a 360° in the air and shoot him in the head. ^_^ Only if you survived the lag-attack, of course (which is not very often, in my case D:).
