Title: Mic Problems
Post by: -Lancer- on May 10, 2004, 05:24:05 PM
I recently purchased a mic for my pc so i can try to make my skills more leet by typing less and i've encountered a plethora of problems.

At first, my pc would detect the mic at all, but a quik driver update fixed that.
Now for some reason, the key that i assigne to talk does not work at all.

I think this has something to do with a program running in the backround continuesly recording because when i tried running sound recorder thats what it told me. But to my best effort i cannot find this elusive program. anyone got any ideas?

Why does it need a driver? Is it a USB mic? If so you should be spanked and sent to bed with no supper. Then you should go back and get a mic that plugs into a regular microphone plug like normal humans use!

If its a USB headset, then you need to update your sound card drivers.  USB headsets <|3 steam.  Make sure the mic is muted in windows volume control.  Test out the mic in the steam mic settings as well.

its not a USB port, just a regular mic jack.
