I want to comm, but i hardly get any experience. The only times i get to comm are:
1. The game ends really really quickly and theres time for another game
2. The comm is one of those "put down two ips and a tf then gets out and asks 'who wants to comm?'"
3. The comm gets out midgame and quits
By the time i get in the game, the game has already started and is 1 minute in. I know there is a plug-in (RRQuestion), but other than that, is there any way to speed up load-times, even by a few seconds? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Post your specs and I'll make fun of how inferior you ar- I mean, tell you what you need to upgrade.
Just remember that:
1) More RAM will ALWAYS be the cheapest, easiest upgrade to your computer.
2) More RAM will benefit every process of the computer, and will give the most obvious performance boost (A little bit of extra RAM will make an obvious impact, but say, a little bit of extra processor power won't).
3) Anything under 1 GB is barely passable nowadays.
4) SDRAM is total crap, you should lose it as soon as you can.
For the record:
<- 1.5 GB 2700 DDR - I'm almost always the first one loaded in every game I play: Battlefield Vietnam, for example, has terrible load times. I threw another stick of 512 in and POOF, I'm the first one in :)

Back in the day (when I used to play), I had small delay.
My system was swell (it wasn't a Dell), this I could tell.
But my RAM was quite low (so low it did blow), it obstructed the flow.
256 DDR (too little by far) was all in thar.
But then I upgraded (friends congratulated) and all problems faded.
Now all is smooth (and that is the truth), and I can't think of any more rhymes so leave me alone.

uhhhhhh huh...

Please post your spec (so we can all check) if your ram is too low,
Else we'll be stuck with this thread (until it is dead) of speculation.

well yeah...an upgrade in any aspect of my computer will double the load times easy, however i meant short of upgrading hardware. I'm looking more for little tweaks an tips...like deleting the custom.hpk file.

while we are trying to fix yer problem, a meatspace hack is to have someone who loads faster jump in the chair, drop the things you want, and hold the chair till you get in.

I got 1.5 gb of SDRam in my system, and I always load up fast enough to comm (But I rarely do so)

DO NOT turn this into an e-wang comparison thread. That's just so lame and nerdy I might suddenly implode and transform into a nerd eating dragon or something. And no one wants that early in the morning.

Seconded.
