here is the infamous ghost car that mysteriously floated after anarki wherever he drove:

heck, even I can get HL's spectator mode to work properly without making invisible players appear near them... looks like HLRally needs a lil polishing XD

yeah, well last round I played the front half of my car was in the ground... the rear wheels were up on the track, but that didnt help anything... I couldnt move at all...

How do you explain that, Miss. Iknowhowtofixscaryfloatingcars, hmmm?  B)

Dammit, I half expected a screenshot of a a car whos main model disappeared but its chrome model stayed..
That would be amusing.. and actually look somewhat like a ghost..

sounds like there might be a rogue piece of code changing your initial spawn view angle which would cause you to appear with your nose stuck in the floor :p
That or a collision glitch.

lol, those are some serious bugs though, I don't have a clue how the heck a team that's waited so long to release something could let something like that slip through into an open beta o.O

TBH, I don't think this mod took much work at all.  Sure, I don't know how hard it is to re-do the collision engine or whatever they had to do, but if you look at the TDK, which was released 1 1/2 years ago, it really hasn't changed that much :\  From the looks of it, this is a 1 year mod that took 5 years to make.  Still a great idea and they did it rather well, but I'd hate to wait another 5 years just for a patch  <_<

well, I was stuck int he ground and i could not move at all. using my incredibly expensive imagine-o-vision, i made a quick diagram of how i started the race.

You know, it could have been possible that in the confusion of being partially stuck in the ground, you may have forgotten to shift up out of nuetral.

I dunno, just an idea...

(It happened to me a couple times)...

I found that out when playing with teleporting.

As for the car starting nosedown I'm still pretty sure it's a rogue piece of code changing your initial viewangles; in this case the angle vector was looking down and you got stuck because you spawned like that ^^

what happened when the round ended anyways?  Were you going down a hill or anything that might change your rotations like that? =o

from what i've seen when this happens you start out by flipping over and over again and then you start racing like normal

from the moment it happened no flipping out or rocking out or uppercuts happened. just me in the ground, crying. Then when i tried to take a screenshot of my little predicament HL crashed! yay!

as for the initial position of my car prior to that round starting... umm... no idea.

Listed in their known bugs "cars spawning under the track". Solution seems to be to bind a key to 'kill' and slam that real quick so you respawn in the right place.

One of the funnier errors...  there is one spot on rc_mistress with hills on either side of the track.  I just drive up hit the top then shift into neutral,  you will roll back and forth and never stop...  weird
