I want to get back into mapping, but I havn't made any in... well, like a year... Any suggestions as to what applications would be the best to use for mapping these days? Anything new I should know about? Thanks

Yeah - things haven't changed much.  Worldcraft/VHE still remain the premium choice for mapping pleasure.

What's the Default wad that CS uses? I can't find it... Damn steam messed everything up for me...  :(

And I love to be loved. Uhm, I think the default cs wad file is CS.wad... if that was the question you were asking. But if you make a CS map in NS you do realize that we are required to hunt you down and throw you off a cliff, right? It's not as if I want to, there's actually a rule about it. And good luck on mapping. If you can manage to put together more than a couple random rooms you'll be ahead of me.

Find a program to extract the cache files from steam and rip cs.wad out of it.
