Unless my tactical eyes decieve me :blink: ...i'm starting to see more than numerous amounts of CS playing stlyes from the nubs.....run and shoot...they all seemingly started NS with the release of 3.0...
Now would it be better if whatever game your coming from and entering Natural Selection for the first time...should you then have to have a certian amount of playtime on 2.01 before being able to join 3.0 servers...to get the basic knowledge of the game? :huh:

it was because of combat that so many new people joined. They were lured in by the "Fast and Furious action". If you've never played ns before, would you go for "Excellent Tatical Gameplay that requires teamwork on both sides" or just your average "Fast and Furious action"?
For people who play half-life mods (all being fps only), then naturally they'd go for combat. This was thoroughly discussed on the ns fourms a while back; about how noobs will overrun ns, and there won't be any ns classic servers.

yea, but just wait till they figure out weaps are hitscan, and sitting at the enf of long hallways = teh win, you'll never get them out of tram tunnel! :help:

I personally know one thing... The future of the best mod in the UNIVERSE ( ns for the stupid ;) ) is going to be a very short, frustrating and depressing one if we don't pwn these nublets and keep the classic servers a hoppin'! ^^ I've loved NS since the first day it was released... I personally don't think I'll be playing Combat any time soon. B)

You should try combat a few times. Its fun, but its not an "omg, combat only server?! score!" thing.

BTW, I tried Combat for the first time today... It's really fast paced, but it doesn't suck like I thought it would ;) :ph34r: (hides from uber combat players) It's cool I guess... I like the chat setup, that's uber leet, and I also like how you can upgrade yourself independantly, but I don't think I'll play it half as much as classic... Nothing compares ^^

with only 3.0 installed and only one real server I get a decent ping to...
Combat only.
classic NS is too laggy for me right now.

All i can say is:
We need more admins for these people...and like #pureh4x clan(the cs clan) they are very rude to everyone(they called me nub *sob).

Argh I saw those 'pureh4x' nubcaeks on. I knew they'd cause trouble with a name like that, but I watched like a hawk and they didn't do anything while I was there. = (

You need someone else to do it. Once they see an admin icon, they probably hushed up.

All too true I'm afraid. To a cheater/llama/asshat, a green icon popping up in the player list means "stop sucking until it disappears, then suck all the harder to make up for the lost time".

1 - normal icons
2 - rcon + hlsw/hlrat

well, there is 3 ... give slotholders slap and immunity from each other, that could be dangerous though

I was on FSD when LB banned four of the #pureh4x clan. That was funny.
And as Legionnaired recommended, we need more lesser admins who are just res slotters with a couple more powers (kick, temp-ban(?) and the vsay stuff)
I try to keep the peace on FSD when i'm on, but with the general apathy, it's hard to get a successful admin_vote_kick.
