Kudos goes to the alien team for fighting us back again and again. And kudos goes to the marines, who honestly I thought the game was over in the first 6 minutes, when aliens got three hives. But 75 minutes later, you pulled it off. Great job to everyone, and sorry for hearing my commrage...

You would think you'd have a seizure after 75 minutes of yelling and dissapointment (except for at the very end).

Actually he was pretty calm.  I joined at the 20 minute mark or so and proceeded to shred aliens with wreckless abandon, I had to have shot at least 50,000 bullets that game.  For a 15 minute stint I was literally empting HMG clips as fast as I could, with rad constantly ammoing me up.  Games like that are why NS is fun, both teams swung the game back and forth constantly, mainly because aliens hit RTs and put them back up right away, as well as CONSTANT base pressure that was relieved only by building stuff at two locations simultaneously while pressuing the hive.

I'm pretty sure it was b5 Anarki. If it was b6, I would have to drop everything and play right this minute.

I was playing on aliens up until about 60 minutes or so, and it was a very good game.  First I thought we had an easy win, then a loss, then a win again, etc :D  I miss those sorts of long battles.  It's much more fun than the usual 15-minute game that is decided at minute 4.

What kept taking so long was A: My marines didn't play like a team until about the 15 minute mark, and B: the aliens wouldn't let me keep an advanced armory for more than thirty seconds. Somehow, miracualously we started working in groups and took down the third hive. And this is what first turned the game, the aliens didn't immediately pressure us afterward. They were licking their wounds while we capped about 4 nodes. After that, it was a pretty even match, pushing back and forth. In the end, it was a war of attrition, the aliens kept onosing and fading, and slowly we killed their RT's and higher lifeforms until there was nothing left.

ebnar: I was absolutely screaming on the mic! It may not match Niteowl, but to me I was very frustrated. But GJ to the team, even the non regs that were on did a great job.

I must have dropped 30 nodes during the course of that game. I'll probably have to shave my head to make those spots were I pulled my hair out less noticable.  :p

I tried and tried to keep our res coming in, but as soon as we had four fades and an onos, and minutes later I looked and they were gone. Ebnar was the proverbial thorn in our side until he said he had to go play tennis or something  :p  and leave. We tried to get it back together, but ultimately we fell apart. It was a great game though.

Damn Meretix wouldn't let me bilebomb the cooling base either. :(

Serious kudos to Scooter for fading and lerking with his messed up keys. :)

That was screaming?

The only person screaming was Adj mostly.

In any case it was looking tight as the game started to close, fade hit and runs on base, loss of the PGs, we really had to be in 5 different places at once in order to break up the alien counterattacks.

Awesome game nonetheless, poor old scooter-onos.

You must remember that rad is a devout christian. Evil to him is punching a teddybear to work off aggression. Commrage to him is moderate and calm conversation to us. When his thoughts scream "GET TO YOUR DAMN WAYPOINT RIGHT NOW OR I'LL RIP OUT YOUR MAJOR INTESTINE THROUGH YOUR THROAT!", his mouth says "Can I trouble you to move to the point I have indicated with a waypoint, kind sir?" ;)

eh i've heard rad's commrage and it is yelling but not to the extent hoots' is cursing and such.  being christian really has nothing to do with some people just don't like to curse to be honest.

I'm a bible thumper but I still shout louder than that.

Perhaps we need Hoots to give rager lessons.

Try doing the opposite of this -

I thought you were just constantly raging Adj, the past few games you've been fairly screaming down that mic.

Heh that explains allot, I was beginning to form a bad opinion about you because you always sounded like you were pissed off and yelling.

Kind of funny knowing what it was now. :D

What an awesome game that was.  I remember feeling absolutely drained towards the end, because it was such a slugfest.

Big thank you to Rad for putting up with our early node-swapping incompetencies, not to mention staying the whole 75min when others might have dropped in frustration.

Also, have to salute Adj for all the crazy hmg/jp work you did.  The dude just kept chasing down onos and fades, gunning them down.  What was that, like a dozen fades on your wall after that game?  What is it with you and flying, anyway man?  Unstoppable.

Thank you aliens for not hitting us quickly enough after the third hive, I can't remember the last time 'rines made it back from a three hive game without some crazy ninja/sg rush.

I think it boils down to Rad's slave-driver attitude towards res.  It was always, grab this node, save that node, kill this node.  He never let 'em go down.

Rad's a pimping comm but he's never on when I am :(. He's one of the few comms who realises his role when he gets in the chair and doesn't just stare aimlessly at the screen turret farming hives but rather grabs the team by the horns and guides them to victory. Communication is key. The other potential comms on LM should take a leaf out of his book.

PLEASE RAD, COME ON THE SERVER AND COMMAND0 ME!

I stopped counting at 20 fades, several times I killed several in a row and couldn't keep a count.  Definitely killed more upper lifeforms than skulks however.  Aliens lasted so long because they constantly put more nodes up to replace the lost ones and generally kept us busy with basehits.  Aliens rarely do both of those constantly.
