i can't connect to irc.gamesurge.net did it netsplit or somthing, or down?

I'm not sure what's going on, but you're not alone... seems gamesurge started flaking out yesterday as well - but yeah...  I had issues w/ it too.

It's been "flaking out" since before I even knew there was a thing called IRC. Try and connect to specific servers that you KNOW are up, like I prefer to connect to netfire.tx.us.gamesurge.net but more often than not it likes to die, so I connect to like Prothid.CA.us.gamesurge.net or Kanzi.CA.us.gamesurge.net. Sad part is this is all from memory :|.

I think it is the US side of things that is broke. Cause I tried irc.eu.gamesurge.net and that has been working for me. (and no there is no noticable lag :p)

I'm in all my channels but there noone and nothing there but all the topics and everything else are the same!?

Saw this on the gamesurge forums:
I suppose the DNS went down after a recent attack, that's why the server doesn't resolve.

Yea same here. It wont let me connect to gamesurge. It just says "Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)".

it seems the re-direct servers have been broken, you have to connect directly to a server, http://www.gamesurge.net/servers/ (http://www.gamesurge.net/servers/) is the website with all the server names. just connect to your local one, should work fine.

yeah I tried to get on yesterday and there was no one in #LM, I was able to get in a channel that I was banned from [only place I'm banned from online] due to no chanserv, and I figured they got DDosed or sumat
