Title: Beard
Post by: Sustained on October 25, 2004, 08:34:20 AM
I'll make this as simple as I can. Hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Beard or no beard?

I currently sport the Abe beard, as in...

Sust, you look mighty diabolical with that beard-o there.  I like it.  You could probably pull off a goatee too.

Goatse bearb = BAD
No goatse beard

Go for a short goatee, and then after a bit of time with that, shave it smooth off. Get the jist of all the types, then decide.

grow out your sideburns really long and braid them, then tie each end together so it looks like the chin strap on a football helmet.

the ladies love it.

I find a sidey length of a few inches and then stubble which keeps growing until its almost a beard and then shaved to start again is the way forward. Or is that me being too lazy to shave every day   :D

you need a big Santa one!, then dress up as him, die your hair white and break into peoples houses and just claim your santa so the kids will go back to bed!, and steal their cookies :o.

But if the real Santa or another robber disguised as Santa breaks in, it would be a huge battle to the death and one of the people in the house would have a gun and wouldnt want to shoot the real santa, so you'd have to persuade them that your the real one WHILE fighting in deadly hand 2 hand combat like in the movies

I grew a decent beard. Here's things to watch for -

It'll itch. It's also hard to wash, and if you don't wash it properly then you'll end up with flaky skin in the beard like less fortunate people have.

Ladies don't like that, and neither do men.

Other things to watch for are bare spots. Few people have a proper complete beard, and if you have bare spots then you'll look silly. Learn where your beard doesn't cover, and shave to compensate.

This is probably the number one reason why people grow goatees a lot easier than a proper beard.

Check the "post your pic" thread for how beards age people. And when you feel old, shave it off for an instant facelift.

Shush you. I meant in the first post; there's too many beard images throughout the thread to discover one in particular.  :p

Plus I remember clicking on that image, but I didn't look at the name right away. Odd habit I have, I often don't check who the post is by.

Anyway, there could be better images for photoshop use. This is workable, but not all that great.

Lolfighter`s right even though you may of been thinking before to shave it make a woman "think" its their idea and you get kudos with her for doing it.

Plus its been mentioned before but there isn`t any quicker way to lose a few years in appearance than from shaving it off :D

True wisdom being spoken here, I can vouch for that from experience :)  And as far as the snuggly thing, girls like a beard more than 2-3 days growth, which is as I hear quite poketastic and sandpaperific.

And I think the number one Good Thing about beards has been forgotten here: not having to shave every day.  ^_^

See, beard shaving is instant facelift.

You might as well grow it while you can put it down as part of "that crazy youth thing" because if you do it when you're older and have kids they'll just relentlessly abuse you about it.

No beard. At all. Beards are usually tacky looking. Takes a certain type of face to sport a beard. Goatees are boring and cliche (Seriously, I can walk around my Uni and count 30 people with Goatees before I even leave the dorm). Big bushy beards can be ugly and gross.

We don't have cameras here in pastry land, so when I managed to build one using a recipe some dude named McGyver gave me with gum, an old pepsi can and a wooden stick, you can imagine my surprise.

No, I was just bored. And it kinda reminded me of Sonic and his wierdyness incarnate pictures.
