Well folks, it's been good playing here the last year, but I just got offered a res slot on one of the servers I go to when LM is full/empty so you probably won't see me in game here anymore. It's too bad you folks weren't more interested in having me here, this was my favorite server. I'll still probably read the forums, they are more interesting here than on my new server.

Umm... since when is a res slot like a like some kind of contract that says you can't play on other servers? o_O

But if you do plan on not playing here again (your logic I cannot figure out), goodbye. [dont know you well enough for a sadface but i've played with ya enough to wish you weren't leaving, arrgh i need a new emotion for times like this >_>]

ABS, It's not that I won't ever play on another server, it's just that my priority list has changed. It was:

1) LM not empty/full? great that's my place..
2) go down my favorites and find another server I can play at

now it is

1) res slot server not empty? great, that's my place
2) LM not empty/full? (not likely, it follows a similar time schedule) play at LM
3) other servers

It just means that I won't be here the 15-30 hours a week I have been, not that I will never come here again....

You'd be better off telling people on the server itself 'goodbye'; You hardly ever post here in the forums, so we don't know all that much about you. Although since we don't know that much, it makes your departure not as depressing and actually rather meaningless.

I'd have to agree with Grimm here. Unfortunately, I only recall 2 things about you.

1) You squat infront of your computer.
2) I have knife kills on you.

That's about it really.

Also, this might be just be me, but that goodbye message... really seems a bit hostile, maybe it's just me seeing the big "you" message in there:

"It's too bad you folks weren't more interested in having me here, this was my favorite server."

Make it sound like it's our fault. Maybe it wasn't so much that "I" was interested in having you here, maybe it was the lack of player/community bonding, since apparently, not many people have a clue who you are.

In any case, I bid you adieu, alas, we hardly knew you (and that's the truth).

You're a pretty decent guy as far as I've seen (not that my opinion counts for anything around these parts, even Temjin gets more respect than me ffs) and a pretty good player apart from having a slighly annoying name (that whole point man thing, whats up with that?).

WHAT?! Even I know who squats is! I mean, he was one of those guys whom played here a lot when I actually played here a lot! I mean sure, I still don't know him that well, but I remember playing with him quite a bit and rather have him on my team than a lot of pubbers on the server :p.

getting a slot on the "servers" its not just NS involves being an active member of the community. LM is not just an NS server, but a group of people who share the same interest in alot of different things coming together to have fun. I haven't played NS for like 5 months but I am always posting on the forum and playing different games with people in here and i'm on the irc channel 24/7, Just because someone plays in the NS server doesn't mean he deserves a reserved slot.

Can we stop this now? Squats obviously wanted a reserved slot on this server (this is only too understandable. He played here a lot, and must've been slotkicked a lot because of that). He never got it. Now he gets a slot on a different server, and that one obviously becomes his prime choice because he doesn't get kicked randomly over there. He's saying goodbye to the community that he cared about (or if you insist, the community of the server he cared about), and you pay him back by making snide remarks. Way to show what a nice and cool place this is. GG.

Squats, sorry, but I'm locking this. I get the feeling that you'll be better off saying your goodbyes in PMs.
