I say yes to the Security thing, then it sits there in status saying COnnecting...
then after a good 2-3 min it says cannot connect, timed out no host to connection. <_<
Please help!

I use gamesurge.net/chat for a java IRC applete, it was built using the pjirc h4x.
Are you at work, or school or someplace that has restritive settings or filters, etc.

Right on the frontpage. Most never notice, because they have bookmarked the forums directly. JavaIRC is only an emergency solution for people who don't have a proper IRC client handy anyway, so nevermind.
Haven't been able to duplicate your problem, Diablus. Works like a charm for me, so the problem must be on your end. That's all I can help you with really. Sorry.

Get an actual IRC client, Dia
HydraIRC (http://www.hydrairc.com) is only 2mb installed.. its not really a space hog, and mine takes up ~8000k of memory, when connected to 4 networks and 18 channels

Generally, a problem with the java IRC connecting is related to blocked ports or a firewall on the client end of things.
