Title: Eurotrip!
Post by: Doobie Dan on May 03, 2005, 10:51:54 AM
Hallo!  I'm heading to Europe next weekend with a friend of mine, we'll be spending 3 weeks backpacking around and hosteling it in northern Europe.  Since there's a good few of you from the area, I'd like to hear if you have any recommendations on stuff to do, places to visit, places to stay, etc.

Here's our (slightly subject to change) itinerary:
May 15-17 Amsterdam, Nederlands
18-20 Munich, Deutschland
21-23 Prague, Czech
24-26 Berlin, Deutschland
27-29 Copenhagen, Pastryland
30-31 Gothenburg, Sverige
June 1 Skoevde, Sverige
2-3 Stockholm, Sverige

Skövde, that's close to where i live, like 30mins.
Anyway i'd just skip the whole Sweden-trip, there's NOTHING to do over here.

Prague is pretty cheap and very beautiful. Try some absinthe.

As for pazztryland, hit Legoland. ITS GOT LEGO. Also see the mermaid.

For added fun, play Hunt the LMer, where you try to stalk someone on LM from the LM map coordinates alone. HAPPY HUNTING.

Legoland is in Billund not Copenhagen, however in Copenhagen you have Tycho Brahe's Planetarium where you could go and see an IMAX movie. Copenhagen also houses the Experimentarium where all sorts of silly stuff is, the more on-hand science kind of stuff.

Btw I'm living in Gl.rye which is in Jutland

And there's probably not many people looking like Harry Potter in Jutland.

So find one, kill him, bake and eat the body as a meaty aebleskiver, then assume his place as adminator.

Actually i don't look like harry potter anymore :p

but i DID look like harry potter on the danish book cover....at least enough to fool a small child, who apparently went "OGM HARRY POTTER" without me noticing it.

And there's also a decoy on my school! he seriously looks like an older version of Harry Potter.

I can't believe how old the kid that plays Harry Potter is now. He was so damn young before.

Is Legoland worth seeing for folks our age?  I was looking at the web site and it seems more like a kid's park.

Plus, there's one in Munich, which would be much easier than making a day trip to Billund from Copenhagen.

i think it's mostly a kid-park, not that grown-ups will have a drearing boring time, but there are probably better places. Tivoli Friheden in Århus or Tivoli in Copenhagen perhaps..
