Level 8- the Malebolge

Many and varied sinners suffer eternally in the multi-leveled Malebolge, an ampitheatre-shapped pit of despair Wholly of stone and of an iron colour: Those guilty of fraudulence and malice; the seducers and pimps, who are whipped by horned demons; the hypocrites, who struggle to walk in lead-lined cloaks; the barraters, who are ducked in boiling pitch by demons known as the Malebranche. The simonists, wedged into stone holes, and whose feet are licked by flames, kick and writhe desperately. The magicians, diviners, fortune tellers, and panderers are all here, as are the thieves. Some wallow in human excrement. Serpents writhe and wrap around men, sometimes fusing into each other. Bodies are torn apart. When you arrive, you will want to put your hands over your ears because of the lamentations of the sinners here, who are afflicted with scabs like leprosy, and lay sick on the ground, furiously scratching their skin off with their nails. Indeed, justice divine doth smite them with its hammer.

i cant tell you how annoying it is for your teammates (usually on aliens) to suck so bad that you wanna shout "COLLABORATOR!"

man i've got quite a few.
my favorite alltime game of NS was, i believe it was caged, regstack on both teams. we were having a silly game, and the entire marine team was in ha and standing on the railing near the pit looking in at an LA who was standing on a mine. I think it was H_D and i, but we couldnt resist, and xeno'd them, knocking approx 6 marines into the pit. gg
another good one was a game of ip roulette on lost, oh god... there were soooo many ips in ms, you were GUARANTEED to be telefragged walking accross.
or, another fav, prolly second. Aliens, HA/HMG pg rush on a hive, back when aliens could use the pg's. all the marines phase through, i do too
went to their base, and killed the pg, and every structure in base ftw!

electricity, by nature, requires 2 wires
i bet the way it knows is because you're not pulling as much voltage as it thinks you oughta, see how many volts your old fan used, vs the new one, and you might be able to jury rig a resistor to fool it

When you're sitting in class, the teacher begins lecturing and you yell " OMG BACON! BACON NOW DAMNIT!"
when someone farts, and you catch a whiff, your sight jerks down and to the right, and you see red trapezoids.
when you get a flat, and mumble " pg, comm"
if someone keeps annoying you in your room, and you keep petitioning the "big comm in the sky" to drop you a pack of mines
if the air conditioner blowing bothers you, and you suddenly realise you want a welder
if you're stomach growls, and you hear " You need more resources!"
if you hock up a big loogie, and spit it, and it goes right where you wanted, and you think " Focus Gorge FTW!"
if you pee on a turd in the toilet and think " BILEBOMB FTW!"
if you ever sneeze in your hand and are pissed at all the web you just wasted.
... if you've ever peed on your hand after you sneezed on it, in order to bilebomb down the excess webbing.
if when you're dreaming, and your parent wakes you up, and pulls the covers off your head, you think " The commchair is under attack!"

Regular, I didn't have enough appriciation for the game to go for the expansion.
Metal Fatigue was fun, but it really started sucking when your mechs wiped out everything on the surface, only to find that the enemy had tanks galore underground where your metals couldn't go. So you'd have to re-tool your whole army, get tanks, go down there and get crushed by their static defenses. Really sucked.[snapback]36341[/snapback]
ditto, they could have solved this problem by putting a timer on the hp of all units trapped underground
