Title: Adventures With Roadboats
Post by: LowCrawler on December 17, 2004, 08:07:04 AM
As many of you may know, for my sixteenth birthday i recieved a brand new old 1991 buick regal. Its marroon.

Yesterday i crashed it... kinda. Here is the Christmas magic story.
Im coming into the church parking lot next to a jeep. I realize that im not gonna make it so as I reach up to put it in reverse, my old a** brakes decide theyre just too darn cold and they let go... i slide forward about 2 inches and apparently thats enough distance to get to whatever speed it takes to crush a fender.
(dreams of drag racing run thru my head... i get from 0 to crush speed in .000001 seconds)

so i get out and humbly walk over to the owner of the shiny new jeep and explain the incident... hes real cool about it and doesnt even care, so we go on about our christmas party....

and heres the christmas magic, mind you its about 30 degrees down here all night.

leaving the party, we go out to survey the damage again... and laugh about it over egg nog... but ho ho ho, it seems that the dent is gone!

sho nuff! the cold has made the fender pop back out to shiny new status again!

of course my lovely regal suffered no damage at all. Buicks are win.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Well, thats good news, not all the cold weather in the world could of fixed my fender bender. (by bender I mean destoryer, in the othe cars case, my SUV was fine.).

Needless to ssay its nice to know that next time someone might hit my car in cold weather, itll do even less damage then it would normally :-D

I wish I could have hit the dude I hit in cold weather and have my headlight assembly, transmission cooler, hood and quarter panel magically pop back into place.

looks like you lucked out, be sure to learn from your little fender bender!  :)

That would be nice if that happened for all accidents.

I have been hit several times in my car.

Two notable ones are a Chevy Cavalier and an Audi.

In both cases I noticed that my car had no damage so I let the people go.  Unfortunatly for Mr. Audi who rear ended me, He lost his radiator and had to be towed.

Sometimes I wonder why my car seems to take no damage in accidents.  Then I look at it.
