It's not like were going to have homicidal maniacs going after him. I don't think we have those type of people here at LM.
Hating Wallmart is cool!

Hating Walmart and still shopping there is even cooler! Hypocrisy FTW!
<--- totally me.
Why do people hate Wallmart anyway? what's so bad about it? We have ASDA over here which is owned by wallmart and nobody hates it.

It's similar to Microsoft... people generally like the store itself. I personally go there whenever I need stuff like paper towels, soap and other non-food grocery items because its tons cheaper than other places for these items. What people hate about Walmart is their business practices.
I'm no expert on the issue, but the biggest thing that has people mad is the way they move into small towns and target specific businesses to drive them out. For example, if there is a locally owned or smaller chain gardening shop in the area, they will offer specials and very low prices in their own gardening area until they can drive them out of business. Often they will sell products at or below cost for this purpose. They've actually been sued for this by pharmacies.
Can't find any good links about that one other than leftist propoganda at the moment.
The other issue stems from workers being forced to work overtime without pay. Similar to EA trying to call their artists "engineers", they attempt to classify everybody as "managers" so they can say that they are exempt from overtime pay. They then will have employees work off the official clock.

In fewer words, grimy business practices and crappy conditions for employees.

What's wrong with that if they have cheap prices?

YHL, HAND.
I used to hate McDonalds. I hadn't been there for years. Then I went in for a Big Mac and now every couple of weeks I treat myself to a great sandwich :).
Walmart is fine really if you don't mind department stores. I try to avoid them because they are a jack of all trades and a master of none. I go somewhere that specifically sells the items I'm looking for at that time.

Well, yeah, that, and Walmart currently doesn't sell the RealDoll Sheep edition!
:p :p
Well by the mall by my school they used to have a Wal-Mart with a McDonald in it also. Isn't that great ;)

McDonald's are everywhere. Turn around: "Well would you look at that; there's a McDonald's." Turn around again futher down the street: "Well I'll be damned if that wasn't a McDonald's. Well, it is in fact that restaurant with a golden arch."
