Hmm, Nexon eh? That tells me two things. It will be a Pay2Play, as all Nexon games are. (Anarki, SG is an exception, and it was P2P for a few years) It also tells me that while it may be a very good game, it will lack support and updates when it is brought over becuase NexonUSA are a bunch of lazy... yeah. Ah well, maybe this one will be different  v_v

Ah, most impressive! I can hardly wait!

That seems like prime opportunities to practice Fading! Although I have to wonder how the alien classes are going to work out against each other... I have always wanted to see an Onos devour another Onos though.

As a matter of fact, that sounds great! Throw that map up here before our antcipation kills us!  :p

Off Topic / The Truth
« on: March 08, 2004, 10:47:24 PM »
Truth is altered by perception, experiences, and other things. The complete truth, encompassing all factors, would be fact. Say there was a ball with one half of it blue, and the other half red. If you were shown the ball, but you only saw the blue half, when you were asked what color the ball was, you would answer with the truth (as you saw it) and say "The ball was blue." This may not be fact, but it is the truth.

Back to the very original example, I live in the Arizona desert, and it rains about 10 days a year, and that is no joke. So, when it rains, or even gets overcast, to me it's a very great day (that is my truth). The fact is simply it is raining.

Truth is merely an unaltered description of one's perception of fact.

I'm in Arizona, and being ringed with mountains, there is a complete lack of any weather change at all, natural disaster or otherwise. Most exciting phenomenon that occurs is weak shocks from quakes in California.  :D

Nice, I love it, guess who wants more.  ^_^

I'd enjoy hearing the continuation of this, and after that, I want to see a battle, or the first encounter, with the frontiersmen. At this rate, it would be very good.

That is one fine readyroom! If the rest of the map recieves even a fraction of the dedication this readyroom did, not only will it take all year, it will be a truely awesome level.

Uranium, using the random searches, I picked out the two that most closely resembled the Legion font. Suprisingly, these were the only two that even looked remotely close. And by the way, nice map, I really like it.

I'd love to try that, sounds great. I might play 3.0 knowing that i can discuss the problems with it intelligently with somebody. I would also appreciate the fact that my input isn't being drowned out by the cries for all sorts of unintelligent 'improvements.'

Night, did the mouse come with an optional USB port connector? Because on my borther's optical, the mouse acted psycho without being plugged into the USB. Also, on my friends, plugging it into the mouse socket made it work, but plugging it into the USB made it go insane. Don't know if that has anything to do with your problems, but thought it might be worth mentioning.

Also, Logitech has some really funky settings that may be causing the hyperactive sensitivity. One of the settings is Mouse Acceleration. I didn't notice it, but when my friend sat down to play some NS, he kept whipping about like a madman. After shooting everything on the screen but what he was trying to aim at, he made me look for the settings in the 'mouseware' taskbar helper and disable it.

Uranium, sometimes it's needed. In my case, I had to mauver my cord so much to get to my mouse pad, I had a whole half an inch of cord to move my mouse before the cord would get caught and the mouse would snap out of my hand. Not very good for my aim, nor my anger. I understand the keyboard too, as it too might have its uses.

Wow Bob, that's alot of virus infected files. I got ya beat though! My brother's friend brought his computer over, he said it had started to behave increasingly odd. So, we started Norton and did a scan. 7 hours later, it had found somewhere around 11,700 files infected. Appearantly everyone in his family loves Kazaa... The virus infected music files and picture files, mostly, and his parents did alot of work with pictures (lots of music files too). Needless to say, the harddrive was nearly wiped clean after the deletion of all those files, as they couldn't be repaired.

Still a running joke with him, along with the time he called me on the phone saying "Hey! My monitor isn't working!" Knowing that most problems are the simple ones, the first thing I say to him before embarking on a 3 hour help call is "Is it plugged in?" "Yup!" It took a long time of failed trials in attempts to make it work... Three days later, he gets it to work. He calls me and tells me, "Yeah, the monitor was unplugged!"  :help:

Yeah, a new mouse pad solved all my worries. As far as I can tell, the mice really like plain, lightish colored pads. Mine has a big huge face on it, so in certain spots (in the corners) it will act really funny still. A plain neutral gray pad should work marvelously. ;)

I have a Logitech cordless/wireless mouse, and I don't notice anything wrong with its preformance. I was having a whole slew of problems with it right off though, and boy was that alot of fun. Sometimes, the mouse would act unresponsive, other times, the mouse would skip or jump constantly. There were many other smaller problems too, and after a bunch of attempted fixes, it began to work fine when I just replaced my mouse pad.

Appearantly, it likes my new Blue Man Group mousepad, and I haven't had any serious problems since. The thing eats batteries like all hell though, so a fair warning to ya Night.  :D

First time I've seen this, so I sat down and read it. All I have to say is "DAMN, NICE!" I would most love to read the next chapter when you finish it. And I did think you were writing about humans for a good way into it, hah. I also liked your idea about the origin of the bacteria, quite nice.

Haha, I laughed at all those. I expecially liked this one:
A crash reduces
Your expensive computer
To a simple stone.

If these came up as error messages, I might actually laugh... Right before I shove my foot through the front of my computer case.

Shhh Civilian! You are killing my blind and misplaced optimism!  Actually I was attempting to be a little sarcastic, seeing as how I put myself through the torture of reading most posts on these forums. Most make my eyes burn, the rest make them bleed, how fun! Can't say a whiffleball bat strike to the head is a horrible punishment can ya?  :p

Nah Grimm, it means that because of the spamban™ we have 7000, quality, intelligent posts. Plus, if you spam, you get struck in the face with a wiffleball bat, so I think people wise up about that rather quickly…
