Basically Entmod is a metamod plugin for svencoop that lets you spawn, destroy, move and otherwise manipulate entities. I saw a server with it and went and installed it but what I have is an incomplete version. I was hoping someone here might know of it and a reliable place to download it. I downloaded it from some obscure clan site that did not truly explain it, I had to figure it out for myself on the server I went to. It is really good for those random sort of maps like Stadium3 or fishingSE.
Has anyone here had any experience with Entmod? If so, do you know a place I could get it from? If not, thanks anyway.

Entmod is as much of a cpu whore as LB likes to save up for onos to benifit his team unlike myself who constantly get stuck as gorge building resnodes, chambers and hives the entire round so that onos rushers have the abilities, upgrades and res to go onos.
Oh course, its always thanks to the onos that we win, because obviously the gorge did NOTHING. That reminds me, time to not play NS for a couple more weeks.
-
Tried entmod, couldn't get it to work, will not waste time on it again.
-
I'll have to step in to defend LB here: He does his job well. He's not one of those guys who save up for Onos, then run into a five man squad of rines and get themselves killed. An early Onos can be the turning point. While a game where everyone reswhores is very hard to win, a game where no-one does can be just as hard. Furthermore, if he's constantly jumping in and out of the game in response to my whining on IRC, it can be hard to be everywhere building structures. :)

Its not that bad Lightning, even the incomplete version didn't give me all that much trouble... it was just incomplete...
But if no one here knows where I can find entmod nm I guess. If you can give me a download site however, I could try to figure out how to set it up for you Lightning.
-
Problem is, it didn't like adminmod at all.
If I have to choose between adminmod and entmod, well..
-
Alright I get the gist of it. Thanks anyway Lightning.
BTW Anem, entmod is not really a hefty cpu wh0re. If you find a map with THAT many entities well yeah it could be troublesome, but on a regular map it should be ok.
-
Then choose AMX and entmod (Its my mission now, to suggest AMX as many times as possible, while still being on topic :))
-
If I remember correctly, it has repeatedly been stated that amx has higher processor usage, and is therefore out of the question.
-
I use Entmod on my server all the time, it is not a CPU wh0re on most maps I play... you can download the complete version at www.adminmod.com or .net or .org, or whatever. my name on Sven Co-op is Laslo.

I'm going to make one thing straight right now.
The reason we are not using AMX is not because of CPU usage.
I just consider it a crappy product not worth the space on my servers.
devicenull: Consider yourself warned, if you want to do that it'll count as spam in the future.

i played it on a server caleld entmod madness
OMG That is the one I played on!!
Oh man PeZ you sir are a godsend. Thanks a lot. Its amazing when you forget that there are people on the forums who haven't registered that can just jump up and answer your question exactly and then it happens! Great stuff.
Definetly stick around these forums man, they are crazy fun, and more so when you are registered, watching other people because you aren't registered gets boring after too long, I should know!
