I would if I had a ps2. From all the trailers/preview/screenshots it looks really incredible, one preview I saw showed snake with a alligator head on him and he crawled up onto the ground which scared a soldier off. I think this game is set before the other metal gears cause oceleot looks younger. Btw The only console I have is GameCube. I'll just borrow my friends ps2 when hes finished with the game.

Don't forget, you can go over to a friend's house and play. ;) I want to play MGS3 really bad, but not having a PS2. But I think my friend might of bought, but I don't know for sure.

OMG FAKE EXPLOSION OF DEWM!!11*BEWM*

So im guessing this MGS "suprise" ending to explain the whole point of the storyline and game is that Snake actually eats Snakes?

gg i spoiled the game for you all by telling you the whole point why you spend 90 hours trying to beat the game

I win

I thought the story was set somewhere in the time of that first Metal Gear for the Nintendo.  This one looks prettier.

The explosions look a hell of a lot better in motion, same with the fire effects.  MGS2 and 3 are the most graphically gorgeous games I've seen on a console.  Also, 90 hours?  Pfff, I beat it in 20, which is still quite a while.  Accuse me of blasphemy if you want, but I enjoyed it more than HL2 :o

Of course explosions look better in game because they won't last a long time. That way it looks ok, but it doesn't have awesome particles effects to kill your PS2.

actually in MGS3, you play as Big Boss. If you know your MG mythos, youll know this means it takes place way before the metal gear for NES.

I thought you're snake in this? Wow Big Boss looks exactly like snake then assuming that your saying we play as Big Boss in this one. But snake has the genes of Big Boss so no wonder they look alike.

Well sure he's genetically identical, but he's still not Snake.  You just can't replace Snake.  Not even with someone who looks like him and is possibly superior in skill.   :p
