Ah yes... I saw this one being in production a few years ago. I saved the link in the most remote folder ever, in like 5 subdirectories of My Documents - which I always carry over during reformats. So I've had that link to the site for ages now... maybe I should go visit it sometime.
But in the meanwhile, I must go listen to Niteowl's laugh.

Descent: Freespace (http://www.volition-inc.com/fs/) was fun and looked similar to this. But in the screenshots, the resolution is NO WHERE NEAR what it looks like in game.

Hmmm... the interface is very complicated. Not too hard to get used to, I'd guess, but there are so many things in it.
Maybe I should read a manual before playing...

Yarr! I got this game a while ago.. played through the single player a good way through... supposedly I should play it to the end cuz the last scene is the best according to uranub o_O

- The graphics are some of the best.. ships detailed to the exXxtreme!
- Basically like homeworld but its more in depth and battles are longer since most of them are between huge capitol ships..
This let to a star trek mod for this game... its basically what a star trek game should be.. just big ships lazering each other for a while till one explodes in a brilliant explosion of awesomeness.

really great game if you like space sims/battle games.. some people might get bored though :)

Dunno. This review (http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/nexus-the-jupiter-incident/593799p1.html) kinda put me off it. Should give the demo a spin though.

Knowing nz-nexus is like a prerequisite to being a player of NS.

So, it's JUST an RTS right? not an RTS/FPS?

It's RTS, hence why I compared it to Homeworld :)

For sure. I spent like 10 minutes just trying to figure out how to move one of my ships. And where's "change controls"?!

It came out in the UK about four months ago. As much as I liked the idea, I just couldn't get into it (kind of my reaction to its predecessor, Haegemonia). The difficulty cliff didn't help either ^^

tried the demo, must say my ships looked hella nice exploding.

other then that I managed to actually get them reinforcments, but after that I was compleatly lost, I have somewhat an idea of the controls after looking at the manual, but man this would take some serious time to get pwn at.
