This is my favorite joke on earth but lots of people don't get it. It's hit and miss I guess. The foum censors the last word, but it rhymes with "hit."

So this guy is walking along the beach and he hears a voice: DIG.
And he looks around and doesnt see anyone so he keeps walking. Then he hears it again: I SAID DIG.
So he gets to his knees and digs in the sand and pretty soon he finds a chest. He opens up the chest and inside is $1 million and a set of car keys. The voice says CAR.
So he looks up and sees a car. He gets in and starts the car and the voice says CASINO.
He drives to a casino and gets inside and the voice says ROULETTE.
He looks around and nobody else noticed the voice so he goes to the roulette table and the voice says 18 RED or some roulette thing.
So he puts all the money on 18 red and the dealer spins the wheel and says "19 black!"
And the voice goes ****.

Judging by what you wrote though, you had a damn clear idea of what you were doing.  How could you be faulted for that?  It makes no sense.  They didn't follow your orders, so how could they know whether your orders were good enough.  That sort of logic just doesn't pass go I'm afraid.

Personally I understand how Tombomb feels.  I'm terrified of comming.  I'd rather play under an incredibly bad comm who gets the whole team raped to the point that gorges are sitting inside the base webbing and spitkilling each marine as they spawn than comm myself.  Because for people who are biased against themselves, it's nothing but frustration and fear.  So I say if you don't want to comm, don't comm.  IF you really are desperate to try, but really don't want to get trash talked (believe me it can be pretty disheartening), then comm some bot games.

it's genuinely harder for the aliens to achieve conquering and holding 3 vital areas

Considering the fact that marines are excellent at holding areas and have reliable stationary UNMANNED defenses AND Aliens have no reliable stationary defenses and must rely on ambushes (which become obsolete after marines tech up to TIER 2), forcing the aliens to hold on to territory instead of the marines is like some sort of punishment.

Seems to me that with all the quick response time and adaptability of the aliens, THEY should be the ones not to be tied down to 3 specific locations, while the marines are.  But that might actually end up as a much tougher game.

it might be the lowest alien but it's the highest tech (without upgrades) of it.  Like an LA with lvl 3 armour and weapons =P

I'd say that's more than fair enough considering the xeno makes the skulk have to sit out for a bit after the attack... just make it xenofocus has double rein time or something ~shrugs~

Like Gem said above, and Saltzbad before him/her, it is the Highest TIER of the lowest class.  Considering how long it takes to get a hive, its worth it.

Gorges should heal a percentage of the unit being healed, not some base number.  Honestly that would help alot...  Something like 35% - 15% sounds about right.  What is it now?  50hp?
