So we were doing hide-n-seek on altair for RS night. MrBill didn't know that the comm was supposed to get MT, then run around with default weapons and hunt aliens. So like he spams all the starting res on mines, and runs off with the rest of the people. I rant at him and then get stuck waiting in MS for res to build the obs and get MT.
By the time MT was going I didn't have enough time to find what a "good" spot in the map, so I said screw it, and hid behind the obs in the corner facing the wall:

Turns out this was the best spot ever. All the other marines were dead before the half-way point. A skulk casually ran through MS quickly looking around. Later a gorge and lerk came by and actually looked around a bit, even standing near the CC alcove. Finally the lerk came back yet again, near the alcove. All the while the whole team is laughing their ass off over voicecomm at the hilartity of it. :p I lasted without being found nearly to the end, at which point I crashed.

So in short: "good" spots = lews. "screw it" spots = winnar.

I declare myself the hide-n-seek champ :p :D

Well clashen, that is how it is "supposed" to be. I ran the thingy that came with 1.0 when I got it that has all the grayscale bars and such and tells you to adjust it to such and such. :p

Yeah, doesn't look all that dark to me.

ABS is the queen of hide and seek, hands down. He had a similar spot on a big crate in ns_nancy. He hid pretty much in plain sight, but was decently camouflaged. A Lerk eventually found him, but he got pretty close to the time limit.


For some reason, I always end up commanding in hide and seek. Oh well, it's good practice to get me a little acquainted with the interface. I might actually comm a real game some day...

I had a good spot on altair.....It was compromised by isamil running into a mine....but it was fiun while it lasted.....but then, i miht try it a gain so i can't tell you where it is

I remember as I jumped up into the vent above ABS's spot in nancy thinking "Man, booj is screwed.  They will find him right away."  How wrong was I, apparently hiding in plain sight works wonders.

I screwed up my own best spot on top of The Pit, in that dark alcove with the one big crate.  A lerk landed on top of the box and looked down.  Thinking I was dead, I jumped up and started knifing.  Turns out he hadn't seen me.  Oops.
