So it was last night. I tried renting the movie to prepare, but my block buster doesn’t carry it. So yeah….
I wore all black (skirt, top, etc..) nothing crazy – and I did my makeup really dark, lots of eyeliner and dark eye shadow. Mr. Duck had nothing to wear so he went in black pants and a wife-beater >_> and I put lots of eye-liner and mascara on him.
We got there early, and woooweeee what people watching fun I had. Some guys and girls were in nothing but underwear! I saw all sorts! They sold a kit as you walked in for $5 and it contained some audience interaction stuff (rice, cheap flashlight thingie, a handful of toilet paper, and a couple playing cards). The only thing I really did was flashed my flashlight and throw the rice.
I wish I had accompanied my more gothish friends to the midnight rocky horror shows back while I was in college. There was a lot of audience interaction, and stuff the audience members ‘in the know’ yelled back, but I was in the dark about what, and tbh w/ everyone yelling I’m still not sure what they said a lot of the time so even if I went again today I’d look just as much like a nub.
Bottom line: it was great, a good experience that everyone should do at least once!
