I have just gotten word that a trip is being planned with my friends to go to the next E3. THIS IS HUGE. Even archie said he would come with me.
In light of this trip i thought we can organize a LM trip to e3. Everyone can get together and bask in the plethoras of gaming goodness at this convention (not to mention the playboy bunnys for the non minors).
Questions, Comments, Feedback B)

er, don't you need special passes to go? where is e3 held?

olo, the youngin's are going to need parents permission:
<Lito> Mom, Dad, I want to go to E3 with some friends.
<Mom> Which ones?
<Lito> A couple guys I met on the internet. They're really nice, i play games with them!
<Dad> Sure, son: heres $2000; You want a ride to the airport?
In short: probably not.
If some are going, we demand pictures.

Uh... Its a trade show.. You have to be a reporter or some ^^.. Or own a game company.. (I 90% sure on this) OMG LETS MAKE LM A GAME COMPANY!!!
-
In most cases yes you have to be part of the press to get in or some type of game developer.
-
Hey, you're Beta Testers *wink wink*
and on a side note, darn ye for living in the right countries!
DAMN YE! *waves cane of niteowl'ish rage +5*
Edit: E3 = Electronic Entertainment Expo.

I'd love to go. I have a friend who can get passes every year but doesn't always go so I could talk to him about giving me one.
Also...you can buy them on ebay within a month of the event.

This is true, unless you want to pay 200$ per pass. But, you could get in free if you clain to be a freelance journalist. Its been done, easily.

really? i'd assume there is some sort of verification needed.

We make the front page of lm.org a 'games review site', whip up some quick content and splatter up the same screenshots that every other freaking gaming site in the world has. Then if anyone asks, we point them there. "Yes, we're 30 or so gaming journalists. Free passes, PLZKTHX!"

I'm 18, I'll have a job soon, and I'll be driving soon. Also, I live in San Diego, which is only a few hours away from Los Angeles. If we can figure out a way to get into the place, I'm in.
-
heck if we figure out a way to get into count me in.
i'ld love to go to it so someone figure out a way

To get in you basically have to:
-be over 18
-have a w-2 from a technology industry job
-have money

Well I work in a place called "Compute This." That oughta work well enough, ya think?
-
only press and game industry ... although brian and scott (from nuklearpower and vgcats) seem to have gone to last year's
-
lets make our own comic strip that gives info on the gaming community, just like penny-arcade, they got in :). Personally i dont think it would be dat hard to get in, we can beat up some journalists, NERDS UNITE!. lol j/k, im non-violent. though i would seriously love to go to that. BTW the reason you gotta be over 18 to go to E3, is because some of the show babes, go commando :D lol, saw some pics from this years E3 and some chick was going commando, not for the younguns.

LB can create a front company called 'Lunixmonster Gaming Servers' and give his admins W2s :)
-
And those Red vs Blue prats..
-
wow, i didnt think id get so much feedback, but this could actually be turned into somewhat of an amazing trip.
Anyone from montreal is welcome to ride with me to L.A.(or wherever its held....). But, im warning you, this will be a long and strenuous journey that will involve sex((not with LM members)), drugs and alcohol, so brace yourselves if you comin with me B)

If i were you i'd worry about getting the passes before arranging your trip. definitely do not spend money booking flights or whatever if you don't have passes.
But yeah, only games trade people, be they journalists or developers are given access. Other people that tend to get them are people who go to gaming colleges, gaming related websites (PA, PHL, etc, etc), and extremely lucky people.
I'd love to hit E3, but i know i'm in no way elligeble to gain a pass. :)

any software you get your hands on must be made available for upload to lm, and download to our comps.
-
if there was even the slightest way i could get tickets, i'd do it.
if anyone figures out a way, i'm all ears. :D
