Yes, wally accepts pictures with pixel areas of over 10000 - how else do you think any of the textures in the official ns wads (with many 256 x 256 textures) were converted to wads?
It's just most important to remember that the dimensions must be multiples of 16 and cannot equal or exceed
12, 288 (even if it equals, it will not work). Also, They usually will not work if they are over 15 kb in size ^^
And about the 'other players not ebing able to see'? I believe that to be strictly a specialized problem. When each game starts, STEAM (as well as ol' vanilla WON half-life) check for other pldecals to download that you don't already have cached on your own hard drive - until the said decal is downloaded and cached, those players who are still downloading it won't be able to see it. It can take any amount of time for everyone to get the pldecal. Otherwise, I'm just not sure what the crap could be wrong... :blink:
