I know I know, but I did give the old disclaimer at the top, we've heard it all before (or at least we must have, I know I didn't make it up myself!)

But for some reason the picture of an onos nudging a fat green slug around the map makes me laugh.
"What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby?  Maybe we'll never know."

port everything over...then change stuff. Just putting it on the source engine would give it a small boost while then they can make new features and functions.

I bet the community would explode since it'd be the first "big" mod to be on the half-life 2 engine.  I image there's a whole slew of people just waiting for hl2 mods that have never played half-life or its mods.

If only the screen could be the actual headset on the rines heads, or the kharra's eyes. Lightly tinted green, all the waypoints and dialog that could feed through the left side of the visor lets say, would be transparent so you could still see. Skulks with red eyes, gorges with green, lerks with yellow, fade and onos black and white. Different shapes for different stages of course    >:D

You can do all that now with HL1. It's just that permanent fullscreen overlays are stupid so nobody uses them like that :p
