The first one wanted me to type the address in my address bar and I use my URL history as a brief favorites list of sorts so I hate cluttering it up with useless trash I'm only going to see once.

Long story short it's gay and I quit.

I think the more appropriate question is who hasn't Lightening Blue banned?  That's all that there is left.  Btw,  <3  Nooblet.

Edit:  I can't speling.

I can still ban you if you ask nicely.

Actually, believe it or not, a lot of people 'round here have been playing it :D

Well you fgts need to be using the names I know and love you by. My name sure as **** hasn't changed.

At least come make me feel less-lonely in their IRC channel :p

(irc.ausirc.net, #dystopia)

Oh and LOLF, the laser rifle just does a lot of damage. You need to 'charge' it for exactly 3 seconds to do full damage, but even in melee range people could do a lot of damage with it. They nerfed melee damage.

The boltgun is a little nuts now, it's ALMOST like a mini rocket launcher, but it only doesn't explode when you hit someone with it, thank god.

Know what game we should switch to, when the time comes?  Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

I doubt anyone disagrees there, but it isn't coming out real soon.

I DISAGREE

You suck though, remember that.

Also, Dystopia has a new version out. Two new maps, nerfed laser rifles, better everything.

Only real problem I have is the damn bolt gun now.

Between the time I was at school, which completely locked out Steam via firewall, the LM community began to shrink, as did NS. When I came back I had hardly any motivation to play, or do much anything involving NS, and had pretty much been sucked into WOW. I got bored of WOW just in time to see Flayra completely finish destroying the game I once loved, and I could hardly bear to tolerate it anymore, so I never came back. Sorry for dishing out like that :D In the meantime, I'm joining the Air Force, etc. etc. nothing really exciting besides.

Anyway, I came back here looking for some old pictures I had hosted here (the ones where I was stabbing myself in respose to the stupid-ass threads :p) and thought I'd say hi / bye.

Anyway, I had a great time with everyone when they were all active. Some happy memories came from here, and I'm proud to have served as your server and forum tyrant for those months when this place was hoppin'.

If you're still looking around, I've been basically sucked into the Dystopia (HL2 mod) community as of late, as have a LOT of ex-NS players, and I regularly prowl their forums there. Hell, maybe when they finally release a full version (or rather, 'more' full) LM could migrate there? Who the hell knows?

Anyway... yeah... and stuff.

Yeah springing early pretty much nabbed em, who the hell expects April Fool's crap in MARCH? Keep it a day longer, then !ub holy, delete AAAALLL the threads, and we all play dumb. Coming out and going 'APRIL FOOLS' just means a bunch of people go 'LOL i NEW IT!!!11eleven'.

As for this, I'll just play dumb, which comes naturally to me.

I don't think anyone caught how you spelled 'Hover'.

That said, it's quite obviously attaining levitation in defiance of gravity without the vertical up-and-down motion of appendages providing lift.

George Bush was taking a visit to the Queen when he asked her "How do you run such an organized government?"

The Queen smiled. "You just have to surround yourself with intelligent people."

George was confused. "Well how do you know if they're intelligent enough?"

"Why, just give them little tests and questions," she responded. "Here, I'll show you." She pressed a button on the intercom. "Please send in the Prime Minister."

A few minutes later, Tony Blair walked in. "Tony," the queen said, "your parents have a child that is not your sister, nor your brother. Who is it?"

The Prime Minister smiled. "I know! That's me!"

"Very Good!" said the Queen.

Later, back in the Oval Office, George called in the Vice President. "Dick, here's a question for you. Your parents have a child that is not your brother nor your sister. Who is it?"

Dick Cheny stood there for a while thinking. "I'll get back to you on this." So he asked all his advisors and staff. None of them could figure out the riddle. Finally, while in the bathroom, he recognized Colin Powell's shoes under the next stall. "Hey Colin! I have a question for you! Your parents have a child that is not your brother nor your sister. Who is it?"

"Why, that's me!" Colin Powell said.

Dick Cheny rushed back to the Oval Office. "George, I know the answer! It's Colin Powell!"

George stood up angrily. "No you idiot, it's Tony Blair!"

You can put weapons in the hands of enemies with Garry's now? Woot.

... I would guess it was done manually with noclip between the models...

You  have always been able to load weapons into the game.

If worst come to worst you could get the weapon model where you want in relation to the players hand model and then weld them together...

You've got it right. You win a cookie too!

No, the old versions of Garry's mod didn't feature the noclipping, you couldn't put weapons in hands, because they'd pop out.

I like the stacking of the results :) Nice trend.

Epic is the way to go. Who :Ding remembers that time you started as a skulk, went fade, killed marines, and won? Pssht.

I still remember my best Epics, they were what originally got me into NS. This is also why I liked Beta 1 Combat the best, since Combat was basically an Epic-In-A-Box.

Off Topic / D&D!

Shadowrun rocked because it had rules for practically everything. Instead of generic "When you have a wand, use XYZ. Save vs. Wands" which basically forced you to use WANDS in your games, Shadowrun had fairly flexible rules - You had weaponry rules from the ridiculously powerful Aztechnology Vaporizer Railgun (You don't really want to know how many dice I had to roll and how much work I had to do figuring out how that thing worked when my group fired it from a ship into a cafe to kill their target. Through a building no less), to your generic ARES Smartgun, to the mundane swords and crossbows. They always listed about 30 ways to do something and had very clear, practical rules that were easy to apply if it wasn't listed.

D&D was great because you could sit around with friends and go 'hey let's play D&D' and get rolling in an hour. No longer :(
